The stress of a full life was topped by a move that suddenly involved a week between two locations so I took the opportunity to unwind at Sky-Vue while I waited. Even though I am an Arkansas native the scenery in the mountains around the cabins was refreshing and seemingly new. The homey atmosphere in the cabins made relaxation a...

My husband and I wanted a overnight get away. For over 20 years we have driven the Sky-Vue lodge and wondered about the seemingly magnificent vistas from the lodge. What a view from our room!! The trees and weeds have taken over the place and the overgrown scrub brush prevented any viewing at all. In addition upon entering the room...

Thank you for the review. This guest had informed me about the humidity problem and I immediately added a dehumidifier and a fresh bedspread to the room. This evidently did not remedy the situation. Yes, there were some weeds that had grown up next to the sidewalk, but I was still able to see White Rock Mountain and Mt. Magazine...

Not fancy, but simply lovely. Don't skip brunch. Delicious. Very gracious host and family. The view was awesome and there is a restaurant close by called Grandma's that has superb home cooking at a reasonable price.

The cabin my Dad and I stayed in was one of the smaller ones (cabin #2) offered (they do have larger cabins, but they were sold out), and it was very small, and fairly old-fashioned. So much for the negatives. Now, on the positive side, the price was economical, the view very nice, and the breakfast (this is a bed-and-breakfast...

The weather didn't quite cooperate with the changing of the leaves, but it was a beautiful weekend. The owners are super nice, and keep the lodge (where we stayed) very clean. Breakfast was very tasty each morning. You eat in what appears to be an old restaurant setting with long tables and each others company. Breakfast is buffet style. The...

My family rented two cabins for Thanksgiving. The owners were very gracious and helped us accommodate 10 people to eat in one cabin. He brought us an extra table to put in one of the cabins so we could eat every meal as a family in one cabin. The breakfast here is amazing. They check on your every need. They...

This is an old fashioned, family run, group of cabins perched on a mountain ridge with great views of the valley below, at least when it is not raining. They have a really wonderful breakfast, and the host family is very friendly. The cabin we had was a bit small and old fashioned, but overall it was charming.

I've visited Sky Vue several times for seminars and wanted my husband to enjoy this place, too. We went there for our 63rd wedding anniversary and sure enough, he thought it was a beautiful place and he enjoyed meeting Glen and Janice and two of their children very much. They make you feel at home and they serve the most...
