We stayed here for one night while doing the NC500 route. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the food at the Brass Tap was delicious as was the breakfast in the morning - I would recommend this hotel

It's not easy to get to but well worth the journey. We stayed for 2 nights in this cosy family run hotel and loved it. A lot of attention is paid to detail here: from the free sherry in your room to the essentials in the bathroom. For breakfast you can pick and choose your choice of items that will...

Wonderful one night stopover. This hotel has real character being a former hunting lodge. With much of the feel and look retained.Great locals bar downstairs. Very nice true twin bed room with lots of space and a large bathroom. Dinner was absolutely first class. Great menu choices and service of delicious well cooked local food. Breakfast was very very good.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel on our NC500 trip. Nice attentive staff. A great breakfast. Appearance outside a little tired, as were the rooms but nevertheless very comfortable. DInner ok but pretty pricey for what you got. Thanks to Lorraine who put us onto a great detour south on the Strahnaver cross country route. It was some of the...

We stayed for a couple of nights, thoroughly enjoyed the large bedroom with comfy bed, the large bathroom and enjoyed the bath to ease my muscles after our walk up Ben Hope! The cosy atmosphere and friendly/helpful service in the public rooms downstairs along with excellent food, absolutly made our stay. Would definitely visit again.

I stayed at the Tongue Hotel for 3 nights in April 2017 and had a great time there. First and foremost it's the friendly and helpful staff that makes everybody feel welcome. The hotel has a nice cozy atmosphere with several comfortable sitting rooms and bars where you can just sit and read or have a drink. Good food, too....

Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting the north coast. The outside of the hotel could do with a lick of paint, but the inside was warm, with very good furnishings. Our room and ensuite bathroom was modern and very clean and comfortable. Food was also very good as was the service. If there is a gold medal...
