The villa was really nice and the pool was pretty big. It overlooked the beach which created a wonderful atmosphere. The beach area is a bit small and rocky but fairly clean. The staff were great and very hospitable. The only slight disappointment was the food. The menu was a bit sparse in that respect and it was just about average. There was also no BBQ which would have been ideal. Overall, great stay but the menu can use an improvement.

We went with friends,altogether we were 5 families with 11 children. The villa has 5 rooms and all are different categories but nicely arranged spacious rooms. The staff were very polite and fulfilled all our needs whether it’s a change of menu or the time of serving.They made all the possibilities to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We booked our Era beach for the Avurudu vacation with my family. We took 6 rooms for the 3 nights. The property is beautiful but there were a lot of shortcomings. First of all we was travelling with my new born. When we went into one of the sea view rooms, it looked like they hadn’t swept the floors, the couch looked like it needed a good sofa cleaning and the toilet had cob webs. When I informed them that they needed to clean the room properly only then they cleaned it. Second their food, we ordered the Sri Lankan breakfast on the first day. The food was good. On the second day we ordered the western breakfast, according to their FB pictures they have nice hash browns, eggs, bacon, lots of mushrooms. But we only got a few potato wedges, chicken ham piece, and 2 mushrooms. When I requested for bacon, they said they don’t have any. We also wanted to get pizza for dinner, they said their oven is broken and we should go to wijaya beach. It was quite annoying because I couldn’t travel much with my little one. Their dinner service got really late - 1.5 hours. When we made a complaint to them, their excuse was we usually don’t give this out to locals. We were like why did you even give this property to us then. Their excuse for everything was this. It’s such a shame because we usually aren’t too fussy. But I wouldn’t visit this villa again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I only gave 2 stars because I loved the view and the property is nice provided it’s given a proper deep clean.…

Such a wonderful experience.good example for hospitality of Sri Lanka.lovely relaxing place to spend the time with family and friends. Nice food and nice cocktails. The newly built villa should leave an impression of an old, venerable villa. The parking lot is too narrow, the whole area is very limited and wedged between other accommodations. Everything is much too tight and without a private atmosphere. I really don't love leaving a negative review. I had a single room with a pool view, which means that everyone could look into your room. The TV did not work, the air conditioning was very noisy, the bathroom had no ventilation, this room is definitely not recommended. The staff is friendly but not very knowledgeable. But worst of all is the kitchen. I have never eaten so bad at a hotel in this price range. I had to leave my inedible dinner untouched. The disappointment the next morning at breakfast was accordingly. Perhaps traditional tourists like this, but as a resident of Sri Lanka for almost 16 years, I was just very disappointed. Many local street food outlets offer much better food and at a fraction of this very overpriced boutique villa.…

Superb location.Friendly staff who will try their best to make your stay comfortable. ideal for family gatherings. Try to walk to the left side of the hotel to reach those famous rock pool bathing spots.

Era Beach is a colonial type boutique hotel which has a beautiful sea view. Their rooms are nice and clean. Also the food is delicious. We had a great time there and enjoyed a lot. We would like to recommend this hotel.

We stayed just only night unfortunately.but definitely we wil come back with family.food and service absolutely amazing. chef make for us special dinner.it was amazing dinner setup on beach deck. sanjeewa butler done a really good service, who helped lots for us.
