A few of us decided to take a trip away for new years this year and decided upon staying here at Treacy's Hotel. All was going ok when we arrived -very small reception/check in desk. When we went to check in there was a big que taking up this small area as there was only one person checking people in, so we went into the bar and said we would wait for it to calm down. About 2 hours later we finally got to check into our rooms to be told the rates we were given were not correct we owed more money. That was fine we went on our way. The staff in the bar were lovely couldn't do enough. We had booked a slot for a swim ( 2 young children looking forward to it) only to walk across the road to find the pool had been closed. Came back (4.45) after passing some time walking around to get ready for dinner (6pm) I go to run a bath for the kids -No hot water so tried the shower still no hot water. Another member of the party with me phoned to ask if my hot water was gone rang reception to be told to run the water for half an hour and they would send up their accommodation manager to find a teenager no older than 16 in a tracksuit asking if we had any hot running water I told him no he said he would come back no sign of him after much back and forth the assistant manager called a member of my party over to apologies and offer a gesture of good will. Only to check out and be told the information we got the previous night was incorrect and we could have a late check out as the pool was opening (a bit late when we where all packed and ready to leave). We asked to have a contact for the Director as the good will was supposed to have come from himself the night before. The Manager said she would pass on our emails and have him contact us - Still waiting! Then today to be told that we supposedly were offered to use showering facilities across the road which never happened and that we where never offered a % off our next stay which could be used in the sister hotel in Waterford. The attitude and Customer Service from the staff dealing with us (managers & assistant managers) has been absolutely appalling. I was warned against staying here as its not the first bad experience I have heard of but we though to give them the benefit of the doubt.

We are currently having the most amazing stay. Ebony has been extremely helpful and has gone above and beyond in terms of customer service, we literally couldn't have had anyone more helpful! Jamie makes the most amazing cocktails especially his pornstar martinis! Just can't say enough good about the staff they're on hand to help from start to finish, Ebony and Jamie are the sole reason I would revisit!

Stayed here with National holidays in November. I honestly cannot complain about anything. The food was fantastic, good choice and well cooked. Breakfasts were good , buffet style but you were served when you went up. Always a meat choice or a fish course plus veg option for dinner. Great plus was our drinks package which saved us a fortune from 6pm to 9pm on 3 nights. Loved going in the bar after dinner, the entertainment was very good. But most of all the best impression came from the staff who are a credit to the hotel, they work really hard and are so cheerful all the time, The room was brilliant, king size bed, lovely hot shower. I had a room at the back and it was very quiet. I had a great holiday, good value and excellent fellow travellers. Would recommend.

Second time here and we will get back. Really nice staff, pub is so nice with live music, all the soccer channels and good layout keeping social distance very well. The offer included dinner and breakfast as a really affordable price. A pity that swimming pool, gym and sauna are not on anymore.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the past 8 years and have always found it to be a lovely hotel with great staff and lovely food. Not this time! The hotel is still lovely and the staff are friendly and efficient. Rooms are really nice and very clean. The difference to our stay this time was the quality of the food. We had booked dinner in the restaurant but when we arrived we were told we had to eat in the bar. This was fine with us. Obviously the hotel was not busy enough to have the restaurant open (understandably what with Covid etc). The starter was lovely and we then ordered fish and chips and chicken curry. Both were obviously reheated and mine was still not hot. The fish was mostly batter. As we were very hungry we did eat most of it. We called the Manager, who was very pleasant and did apologise, but that was it. The breakfast the next morning was lovely – especially the pancakes. Unfortunately, the food issue at dinner will stop us staying at this hotel again.
