Clare Ecolodge

Loughnanes Hostel Main Street, Feakle V94 X94X Ireland
Feakle is located just 20 minutes from both Ennis and Killaloe and less than an hour to the Cliffs of Moher. It has the tranquillity of an small unspoilt village which also plays host to a thriving Irish traditional music scene, evident in the local bars from Wednesday to Sunday. Loughnane's is a family-run guesthouse and hostel. The building has been in the family for over 100 years. To the rear of the premises in our farmland where we grow produce to insure the freshest ingredients for our kitchen and your meals. We are on a 15 acre site that you can explore. We are in the center of the East Clare walkways and on the edge of the Slieve Aughty mountain range. We are a short distance from Lough Derg, Lough Graney and Lough Atorick. Over the years we have welcomed musicians, horticulturists, anglers, walkers, cyclists, golf societies, wedding parties, dinner parties, concert audiences, theatre companies and people taking part in well-being retreats.

My husband wanted to visit the place where his Irish ancestors originated from. Feakle, Scarriff and Coolagoree were important places for us to explore. Off the main tourist track, we wanted a place that would suit our family of 5 including three young children. We spent a night

We have just spent 5 days in Feakle at the Folk Festival and stayed here. Amazing, friendly and food is delicious. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and we especially enjoyed the home grown food. The staff are super friendly and always have time for a chat.

Do you have a private room double late May.or can u refer us to one? if so what would be the rate? At this time, late May ,can u advise us what pubs have trad music and what nights what time.? Much thanks Sami
Hi Sami, we have some private rooms still available in late May. For one person it is €40/night and for 2 people it's €80/night. We also have a special offer where if you book 2 nights you get the 3rd at 50% discount. Pubs in the village have trad every Wednesday and Thursday starting at 9pm all year round. There are set dancing classes every Wednesday evening, this is open to all levels. There are also gigs on in Peppers Bar some weekends but this varies subject to booking schedule. There might also be a Sunday day time session starting there but you'd have to confirm closer to the time. Your dates might not suit but Tulla Trad festival is on in mid May as well and that is 10 minutes away by car. Is there anything else I can help you with? William
