What I have seen over the months i have stayed..... - the owners are rude, talk about you behind your back and have no regard - the staff are treated as well as the dogs (2 x alsatians) and paid nothing or very little - Half the workers are not trained at all in service, just shouted at when an errand is needed. - I love the grounds, but the people who run this place disgust me and the hygiene is really not up to scratch.. - what to pay top price for dirty rooms with no service and careless staff... go ahead

Sunset has come a long way since my first trip to Pushkar several years ago. We stayed in a room on the second floor which was clean, had hot water, and clean sheets. It's very inexpensive and you get the very simplest amenities. Hallway is open to the garden, and people enjoy this view by pulling a chair out of their room and sitting outside. The location is epic - the restaurant attracts all those who want to see the sun setting over the lake, and enjoy the dancing and music that happen each night for an hour or two. Internet did fail though, in both the restaurant and the rooms.

The location is good as long as you don't mind mice. We were woken in the middle of the night with a rustle in the room only to find mice on the table next to the bed. We had to evacuate the room and called up the owner to come help. We refused to be in the room and were given an adjacent room. The night was spoilt. The location and overall look of the place is good but the mice is the problem. The promise but there was no hot water in both the rooms and they also turn off the water so if you use the loo in the morning make sure you have a bucket filled from the night before. Nothing is worse than finding out there's no water when really needed. The pipe from the sink to the gutter is broken and also the faucet was broken. They have spent a lot of time making the outside look inviting while not working on the rooms.
