Stayed here with family during 15 and 16 aug with family. The hosts catered to all our needs. We specifically requested for non spicy food, fish curry and loved all our meals here. The rooms r good. The property has a number of trees, birds and flowering plants. It was our first experience of staying in a homestay in south India and we enjoyed it a lot..

We got a lot of recommendations for them but when we arrived we felt the opposite... First we booke two families, the other family though they had confirmation they didn’t had a room for them... telling a lot of stories which were obviously not true. So we split .. They said it’s includ breakfast but on the place said no and it’s includ only for the first night. When we told them that our friends that recommended for them also got breakfast they text our friends and angry why the told us.... Then we realized that they charged us double for the taxi we booked from them (it’s their taxi !!! ) from train station to them... When we asked why and we know it’s double price and also the rickshaw driver told us so they called the rickshaw driver and shouting him infront of us and ask him not to get their territory anymore... And of course from that moment they were barely talking to us till we checked out.... During our stay in hampi we found out that There are much better places arround there with owners who are not liers neither gridi and aggressive...

This was our first experience of a homestay. If this is how home stays are, I am going to ditch the five stars. We were travelling with our 2 dogs and it was very important for us that the dogs were comfortable. Ramu and Kavita who own this place made sure that the dogs got all the attention. Kavita called us while we were still enroute to check what the dogs would have for dinner and when we reached, their meal was ready. And while we were coming back, she made sure that the evening meal for the dogs was packed and ready for us to take. I would have given them a five star just for this gesture! But they should be given another 5 stars for their property and their hospitality. Theirs is a 20 years old property lush with coconut and eucalyptus trees, in the middle of parry fields. But when you get in the room, you would actually want to check if it is really a homestay. Check the pics to see for real. Our room was as good as any plush hotel we have lived in. Very tastefully decorated and with a bed that would put you to sleep in minutes. They had given us a room on the ground floor so it is easy for us to go out. And our room had an extra single bed just in case one the dogs preferred to sleep on the bed! The bathroom was as big as some hotel rooms and how clean was it!!! The Air Conditioning was perfect as was the hot water in the bathroom. Ramu is a great guy full of stories of the surroundings going back to 20 years when he built the house. He loved dogs and reminisced how some of his dogs had been taken away by some big cats that had roamed the area. He is a great cook too. Churned out a very local egg curry for us and a wonderfully crunchy cauliflower fry for our vegetarian friend. Kavita is the most jovial lady we have met in a long time. She treated us as if she had known us for ever. Doesn’t matter that we stayed there just for a night. And then there’s Shankar. Shankar is their 1.5 year old baby boy who loves watching fishes on his well and would tell you stories about them in a language only he understand! Why would you want to stay anywhere else. Well, there’s one more reason to stay here. The Hampi ruins are 2 mins drive away! We were on a tight schedule but Kavita insisted that we atleast drive by the ruins. Good that we did. Now we must go back again. I wish I could give them 10 stars.
