We went for one of the cheaper non AC room on the ground floor. Room was ok though ceiling fan would only work on fastest setting, so nights were either really noisy and windy or really hot. I was told it was a technical fault and they were waiting for it to be fixed. However, the friendliness and helpfulness of...

Padma's guest house is higher up the hill, closer to the ruins of Hampi and further from the river, which means there are fewer mosquitos. And there's a stunning view from the roof. But don't book your travel through her, she marked up our bus tickets by 25%! There are plenty of travel agents in town.

It is such a pity... Such a nice house in a great location, with spacious rooms and even a great view to the temple... But sometimes fame is not good, after some good reviews and the mention in lonely planet it seems that now it's all about the money... First of all, asking for exorbitant prices (Hampi is NOT Mumbai)....

We booked a basic room (RS 1000) after speaking to a Sagar. He called up the day before our visit also to confirm our stay, at which time he confirmed that we would have a room at Rs. 1000 either with them or their 'sister-concern' Ranjana Guesthouse. When we reached there after a 7 hour drive, we were conveniently told...

The staff at Padma Guest House are just incredible! They really went out of their way to accommodate us. When we arrived in the early morning we had been traveling for so many hours and were so exhausted. The manager offered us breakfast and coffee first thing, without hesitation. When we were done they showed us to our room and...

We stayed at Padma Guest House on the 29th and 30th of December, 2012. Not far away from the river Tungabhadra and close to the Birupaksha Temple, the Guest House provided a picturesque view of the ruins of the Vijaynagara kingdom. It was a special privilege to dine on the terrace on a moon-lit night when one was bound to...
