We stayed three nights at the lodge so that we could visit the gorillas twice. The main lodge and the rooms are extremely nice. They don't have a pool, but I enjoyed taking a cold beer down to the watering hole in the river and soaking myself in cool relaxation after the gorilla trek. The free massage is a fantastic...

Dear Tony Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We are delighted you had such a great stay with us at Bwindi Lodge. Our lodge staff really appreciate the great feedback. I imagine the river water was pretty cold. Perhaps you did the hike up to the waterfalls in the forest? This series of three waterfalls are an...

Staying here was at the end our honeymoon after being on the road on safari for several weeks. It was perfect. Situated right on the edge of the forest, the sounds and the fresh air were exactly what we needed to wake up to every morning. The rooms are a generous size with their own private outdoor area. The lodge...

Ok, this is such a great place I'm having trouble knowing where to start... If I wrote everything I want to, you'd never stop reading this posting... Context: Group of 8 friends, 5 rooms between us, 3 night stay, not high-maintenance people, ranging from 32-64 years old. I'm just going to discuss the lodge; for other activities the lodge is...

Dear cpl1775 Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback and share tips with other visitors to Bwindi Lodge. Detailed reviews such as yours do help people prepare for staying in what is a remote and sometimes chilly part of the country. The open log fires and hot water bottles are all part of the...

My wife and I, plus a friend, spent four wonderful days at Bwindi Lodge, and we're delighted with the thoughtfulness and care of the staff, as well as the serenely beautiful cottages, nestled in the forest with views to the Impenetrable Forest, where we trekked for gorillas one memorable day. The hotel went above and beyond the usual care, since...

Dear Stuart H Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your trip. What an unfortunate start you had to your holiday. We are happy that you were reunited with your baggage in the end - and that this did not affect your gorilla trekking adventure. Many thanks for the recommendation!

We spent 2 nights at Volcanoes Bwindi. We were allocated Bob - a lovely banda with stunning views over the rainforest. Perfect location for Gorilla tracking with the start point just a few minutes drive away. There is great attention to detail here from open fire in the lounge area in the evenings, coffee/tea with wakeup call to hot water-bottles...

Dear MFDtraveller Thanks for taking the time to give feedback on your stay at Bwindi Lodge. It means a lot to our staff to receive such positive feedback. Guests do find gaiters very useful for protecting the shins from bushy thorns and insects. Having a walking stick is also very useful to when walking on sometimes muddy and slippery slopes....

We stayed here for 2 nights of a 7 day safari. The location is in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and our accommodations (Wagaba banda) were very comfortable. The view is right into the lush forest and mountains you will be climbing to see the gorillas. Joselyn and her staff provided a very warm and cozy stay. The food was outstanding...

Like a previous reviewer our stay at this lodge was arranged by Steppes Travel. However, unlike that reviewer, we found Steppes to be an excellent company which we would recommend to UK travellers. We liked this lodge a great deal. The staff, managed by the excellent Joselyn were, without exception, friendly, helpful and very efficient. Our boots were whisked away...
