The Enagi Lodge is relatively small with only 8 cottages but a pure delight! The rooms are large but there are no plugs for charging or hair dryers in the rooms but there is an adequate charging station in the main bar restaurant and deck area. The rooms have decks with views looking out at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where the...

The forest view from the communal area was so atmospheric abundant with birds - just beyond our dreams. We relaxed here after our gorilla trekking, enjoying complementary tea and coffee and the jovial company of the staff, who all had a genuine wish to please. But don't come hear if you need a hairdryer or to turn the tap on...

The room was comfortable. It can get chilly at night so the staff warm the beds with hot water bottles. Private outside balcony. The steps to the rooms are well lit and the rooms are not difficult to access. Lovely cosy open lounge area with open fire and restaurant both with direct open views of the forest. Terrace with good...

All across Uganda, I was taken with how friendly and welcoming people were. Engagi lodge, was no exception. A very warm welcome and friendly service. The main seating and dining area has beautiful views of the forest and there is wifi here too. Rooms were very comfortable and the food was fine. A very beautiful and special place to stay....

This is truly a lovely lodge and I would highly recommend this place as your base before and after your Gorilla trekking. The lodge overlooks the rain forest and is within walking distance to the village and craft shops. The food and facilities are excellent and certainly over and above what would expect when you are in the middle of...

Don't let the three stars deter you, this lodge has a lot to offer, but there are some problems that need to be addressed. My friend and I had wanted to stay at Mahogony, but it was booked, so we ended up at Engagi. We were the only guests, filling in a three night hiatus between tour groups. The main...

In a unique rainforest setting this is one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed. The food was great, the rooms beautiful and comfortable. The staff at the lodge are very very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed out stay. The lodge felt very safe and tranquil with only the sounds of nature to listen to. The stars at night are...

Lovely room with plenty of space. Very friendly staff. Food was best we had in uganda. Nice setting near river. Seeing the gorillas of course was the highlight. Very peaceful setting with a nice deck outside. Perfect setting for a coolbeer.

Beautiful lodge, lovely staff, fantastic views and wildlife, great food, comfy rooms with washing facilities too, wifi available. Go to the village just up the road as all money goes back to the locals or the orphanage, don't be shy just go and see their wares, lovely crafts and the more support they get the more the gorillas benefit too...

So how can the lodge get five stars when: the wifi did not work, no television, no spa or health club, no air conditioning, the bedding and towels were damp (this is a rainforest....) and we were accidentally locked into our chalet from the outside with no exit? The answer is that everything else was remarkably good. Here are some...
