Wow! This lodge exceeded my expectations in every way. After a long day of travel, we were weary once we reached the lodge. The staff greeted us with smiles at the car and made us feel very taken care of. They looked after our young sons (ages 6 & 8) while we trekked the gorillas, which was a relief to...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while we trekked twice in Bwindi. The cottage we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable with a view out over the forest. It is ideally situated within the park just a short walk from the orientation center where the treks begin. There is a very comfortable lounge and bar area...

This is a beautiful place to spend a few days when you are going to trek mountain Gorillas and they are found in only three countries in the world and these are: Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. There are approximately 880 animals in the whole park and Uganda has more than 50% of the whole total population and these animals are...

We were very impressed by our two night stay here. The individual cottages look natural in the forest setting. Our room had a large bedroom, beautiful large living room with a nightly lit log fire, plus a good size bathroom. The wide balcony had stunning views of the high hilly Impenetrable Forest. The food was excellent and well presented in...

Having lived in Bwindi for the past year we have got to know all the lodges and Buhoma Lodge is our home away from home (except infinitely more luxurious!) The staff are smiling and friendly, the food is gourmet and creative, the bar area is comfortable and sociable, the rooms are clean and stylish and they pull out all the...

The lodge is my opinion the best option to use as a very comfortable base when visiting the Uganda Mountain Gorillas. It is situated within close walking distance of the Bwindi National Park HQ, which is used as the meeting point for the guided gorilla tracking experience. The staff at the lodge, under the guidance and direction of Lodge Manager...

I spent two nights at the Buhoma Gorilla lodge recently. I found the lodge staff to be very helpful, they went out of their way to be friendly, and the food was fantastic. The fire place in the main lodge is very interesting – probably the best I have ever sat around. Tip for other travellers – If you do...

A slice of luxury at the doorstep of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Five star food and accommodation. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Don't miss a visit to Bwindi Community Hospital, one of rural Uganda's finest right near by.
