Stunning location, very friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. They even provide gaiters, sticks and gloves free of charge for the gorilla trekking if you don't have them. Fabulous food from local produce. Extremely comfortable lodge with fabulous views. Literally 2 mins walk from...More
Thanks to Gerald Sekanabo, Mirembe Tours Kampala, this lodge was home to our group for two nights. It is very close, within walking distance, of the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) starting point for the gorilla tracking. The lodge staff are extremely helpful in pre-track organization,...More
The Lodge is located five minutes from where the Gorilla briefing takes place. The Lodge is built in an African style and blends in very well with the surrounding nature. The views from the balconies (and the sweet birdsong) is amazing. The staff are courteous,...More
What an amazing place! The service is second to none (free laundry, sherry in your room at night and complementary shoe cleaning after gorilla trekking, to name just a few benefits) and the food superb! I have never felt so cared for. Strongly recommended for...More

There are electrical sockets in the rooms for charging of mobile phones where you will of course have to bring your own universal adaptors. Charging of camera batteries would be alright too. However, hairdryers which are considered to be too powerful an appliance cannot be used as the Lodge is dependent on solar power for its supply of electricity.

They seem to have all the converters you need but you should obviously bring your own. Tips are fine and appreciated in local currency or U.S. dollars. The trekking was great! You can specify in advance whether you feel up to a more difficult hike or not, depending on availability. Wear a long sleeve breathable shirt, bring a rain cover, hat and gloves (to brush aside branches). And enjoy!
