Excellent service (kudos to Alex and his team!); I had a lovely tented bungalow set amidst the lushness of Bwindi Forest. A red tailed monkey and sunbirds made appearances off my lovely deck and it's a couple minutes walk to the station where you prepare for your gorilla trek. All meals were delightful; the staff really makes this place shine!

Located just inside the park, the main lodge building is open air, rough hewn stick lodge with thatch roof. The tree house type bungalows are set behind and up the hill, maybe 6-8 rooms. There are wood stairs up to the main lodge and a connecting walk with separate stairs up to the individual rooms set on stilts. Our room...

This is my second visit to the Buhoma Lodge and I am already planning my next visit ... Home to some 300 plus mountain gorillas, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a magical place, and worth every bit of the long drive from Entebbe or Kampala to get here. Much like the movie Gorilla’s in the Mist, which recounts Dianne Fossee’s...

This hotel is situated on the side of a hill and some of the cabins are up on the hill connected by stairs and walkways. The overall effect is beautiful. The lodge is conveniently located across the street from one of the main offices for the guides so you are sloe to the starting point for gorilla trekking. The staff...

Buhoma lodge is an absolutely brilliant place to stay for the Gorilla trekking experience you will inevitably be in Bwindi for. Because it is in the park it is very simple to walk across the road to the meeting point for the trekking which I imagine can be a bit more difficult at other accommodation. Although we were one of...

We live as volunteers in the area. For special occasions we book for a Sunday brunch at Buhoma Lodge. This last time they outdid themselves: homemade granola and yogurt, beef steak, sausages, bacon, and chicken, three sweet breads, a pumpkin pudding cake, omelets with green pepper, tomato, onion, and cheese, plus other sides I didn't have room for! Excellent service...

We just left Buhoma lodge and overall was a great experience. Titus and staff were friendly and looked after us well. The food, rooms and location were also excellent. We even got free messages after a morning of trekking. And then there are the gorillas, a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended and will be going back.

We recently stayed at this incredible lodge with our group of eight people. The food was incredible, accommodations impeccable right down to a hot water bottle in your bed each night. The staff are world class and made us feel very welcome. They offer complimentary massages at the end of each day which was a great touch after trekking to...

Situated conveniently within the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma was an excellent choice to stay while gorilla trekking. We were greeted by Titus, who offered us a refreshing drink and sat with us to explain our stay at Buhoma. He set up wifi on our devices and told us well meals would be served. He also mentioned laundry service, dependent...

We have been volunteers for three years, working with Batwa in the Bwindi area. Over three years, we have frequently come to Buhoma lodge for its peace and quiet on Friday afternoons. Today, Christmas morning, we came for brunch, what has become an annual excursion for us. It is wonderful! Two kinds of cheese, cold cuts, heated sausage, granola and...
