Stayed 3 nights in this slightly old fashioned hotel with its comfortable bedroom, clean bathroom and exceptional view over the harbour and bay beyond. Helpful and friendly staff, a bit of character (nautical), not as up to date as many would like (wi fi is charged for and costs quite a lot; bathroom fittings are not the most modern, breakfast...

This is a VERY good, basic and affordable hotel, with lots of little personal touches that makes the stay extra special. The staff were very friendly and helpful in a variety of ways (without having to be asked!), the beds comfy, the aircon cold and the view from my sea-facing room spectacular. We were there during the week and the...

I used The Quayside as my base during a holiday on the Cape and can happily say that I would readily recommend it to anyone. It's right in the centre of Simonstown, immediately adjacent to the marina, it couldn't be any more convenient. The only "downside" is the lack of wifi in communal areas, but guests can rent wifi for...

Stayed here in November 2016 for 4 days. Here's a summary of the main points of the hotel: Location: great location, slap bang in middle of Simonstown. 10 minutes to Kalk Bay and Fishhoek, 15 to Kommetjie, half hour to Hout Bay and Cape Town itself. Plenty eating options near the hotel, and rooms overlook the harbour in Simonstown. Check-in...

Simon's Town is beautiful. Besides, it is the town of Able Seaman Just Nuisance. The hotel location is excellent. I had the opportunity to see penguins and a seal without going far. As a diver, I heard there are a few wrecks one could dive. However, the town may not be friendly if you are vegetarian or vegan. Self catering...

Good Day, Thank you for taking the time to post your review on line. The proximity of the hotel to the marina is what sets us apart from the rest of the accommodation in the area. You almost feel as if you could stick your hand out and touch the yachts that are moored in the marina. We do hope...
