It can be difficult to find a really high quality resort or lodge along Lake Malawi, but fortunately Pumulani is one of the few that are out there. I stayed over Easter weekend and found it to be extremely restful, with beautiful views of the lake, convenient swimming pools, spacious and luxurious guest rooms and high quality meals. The guest...

Travelled to Pumulani from Lilongwe with my daughter and her family, both as a family holiday and a celebration of my 70th year. The resort was outstanding: A beautiful vista, first class facilities,, so much to do - swimming, diving, sailing, sundowner or breakfast cruises on a dhow, fishing, power boating, or simply relaxing. The food and drinks were very...

Perched high on a hillside overlooking Lake Malawi, this hotel is about as good as it gets in Malawi. The rooms are spectacular and huge. Over 1500 sq ft, the rooms are more like houses. There is a vestibule, a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom the size of a major room, and two balconies overlooking Lake Malawi. The furnishings...

We had had a busy and draining 12 months and were looking for somewhere to recharge our batteries. And that is precisely what happened at Pumulani. The setting overlooking this amazing lake is simply divine and Christelle and the team did everything possible to make our stay perfect. The water facilities on the private sandy beach are of very good...

Great two nights at the end of a road trip. Very relaxed. Detailed service. Good food and wine. The evening cruse in the dhow was a top memory. Great also that the Internet was a bit rubbish! Well worth making the effort to get there. Make sure to get petrol at the turning on the way home - it is...

This place is fantastic. I would recommend it to any couple any day. Everything is top rated, food, accommodation, environment etc. The dhow ride and breakfast on the lake was amazing. Easily one of best places in Southern Africa.

My wife and I returned to Malawi after 42 years away. We were apprehensive about returning but the whole experience was truly wonderful and Pumulani was very special. The villa was huge, very private and had a lovely view over Lake Malawi. Service was first class with wonderful food and the Sunset dhow cruises were magic. Can,'t speak highly enough...

We had a brilliant 1-night stay after 4 days of safari at the other Robin Pope Safaris camps (Nsefu and Nkwali - also highly recommended). Our room (no. 10) was enormous and extremely well appointed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Sundowner drinks on the Dhow out on the lake were fantastic and supper at the restaurant was delicious. Only...

The location is great, the rooms are spacious and all feature a wonderful view of the lake; and there are quite numerous activities to chose from, if you feel that relaxing at the beach is "too tiring"! Apart from snorkeling, hiking, sailing on a Dhow or watching the stars, every guest is pampered and the staff is wonderful. Located in...

We had the great fortune of finishing off a Robin Pope safari at Pumulani Lodge. We cannot express enough how much we enjoyed staying there. We were given the honeymoon suite as a treat to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The room was stunning in every respect. An absolute treat - spacious and spotlessly clean, with the most incredible bathroom!...
