We have just returned from an interesting few days staying in the Garden Cottage at Barney Creek Vineyard Cottages. We arrived around 5.30 pm on Wednesday whilst it was just starting to drizzle, another in our party arrived later that night during the rain. It was nearly impossible to contact him as there is very patchy phone service and internet....

Stayed here for only one night, but loved every minute of it. The owners were very friendly, it was very relaxing, enjoyed an outdoor fire and wine made from the vineyard. Highly recommend a stay here.

I booked 2 nights at Barney Creek cottages for myself and a groups of friends over the public holiday weekend. I was called on the day of arrival (sat) to be told that they had double booked! This wouldn't usually be a problem for me (even though it has never happened to me before), however, I knew that with it...

What an absolutely beautiful part of the hinterland. Wildlife abound, the sounds of a running creek and mountain views. Our hosts sandy and marty are doing a great job as the property looks well cared for. Sandy was incredibly accommodating and made the whole booking process a breeze. Well appointed cabins, unique rooms and an abundance of food greeted us...

We were warmly greeted by Sandy and shown to our Lakeside Cottage. We were so impressed with the cottage, so very private and it sits perfectly on the side of the lake. Inside the cottage is beautifully decorated, cozy with a modern feel. Great kitchen, fireplace, dining nook, and the most amazing bathroom. The sunken spa bath is very luxurious...

Stayed early July and was amazed at the natural beauty of the place, nestled in the hills right next to Mt Barney National Park. A paradise for birders or anyone who wants to disconnect for a while. The cottage had everything you need and great comfy beds and the owners went out of their way to look after us. The...

We stayed in the Hillstation cottage - a tastefully renovated cottage that used to be a railway station. the furnishings are beautiful. Very cosy on a cold night with the log fire going. And the food provided was delicious! And it's 'forced' relaxation - no internet, no phone, no TV receptions. Rediscover what life was like before Facebook these things?...

My husband, sister in law, her husband and myself stayed for 4 nights in the Garden Cottage. It has everything you need. There are 3 bedrooms, large bathroom with a claw foot bath. A large kitchen and comfy lounge room equipped with a piano, tv, DVD player and wood fired pot belly stove. Outside is a patio with a table...

I think we must have booked during the change of ownership process. Two days prior to our arrival, I still had received nothing more than a receipt for our deposit. I emailed and on hearing nothing for anther day, I phoned. The person I spoke to did not understand what sort of details we might be expecting... "umm, that you...

This was by far the highlight of our two-week Xmas trip. We chose to stay in the "Lakeside Bungalow" - absolutely romantic, and we cannot say a bad thing about this place. We opted for the "romantic package" which meant upon arrival we were presented with a lovely antipasto platter and bottle of wine from their own vineyard as well...
