Perfect location for Petra/Bus station. The staff were flexible about check-in/checkout times and leaving luggage at the hotel. No wi-fi in the room. Inexpensive (for Jordan) bar serving local beers. Visibly a lot of refurbishment work is happening at the hotel and I would definitely disagree with comments about the shabbiness of the hotel - stayed on 3rd floor and...

We went to Cave Bar the night before and paid JOD43 for the exact same wine ......which tonight at Petra Palace was JOD 21! That's a very big difference and frankly this is a very nice bar with good service. Bar man was very nice and appropriately attentive. Recommended !

For the first time i'm writing to tripadvisors. Bad staff, old hotel, bad at all. I want to attention you from the man who works at the hotel's cheater and thief, he stole more money from.me for the order, also when I checked out I went to the bar to get a take away order and I pay the bar...

We spent 3 nights there and the price was reasonable for being 200 metres from the entrance to Petra. 43JD per night for both of us including breakfast. Breakfast was adequate but not great. Both the tea and the coffee were too weak to wake you up. WIFI in the foyer only not in your room and the foyer is...

Came with a Jordanian friend from Australia, his Jordanian friend... We were knocked back because my friends are Arabic... I could not believe it, was absolutely shocked this behaviour exists in Petra!

The hotel is welcoming and perfectly situated for a 2 minute walk to the entrance to Petra . The rooms are spacious , comfortable but shabby and the hotel is badly needing some money spent on renovations and care. It has been a while since I have seen a flat screen TV in a hotel room. The food is plenty...

First, the good: the Petra Palace was an inexpensive option in a great location. It was right on the main street in Wadi Musa, less than 200 meters away from the park entrance. I parked my car for free when I got there, and didn't touch it until it was time to leave. Restaurants and shops are all right there....

First, to understand the mixed reviews, the hotel has two wings - an old wing and a much larger newer wing round a second swimming pool. I stayed in the new bit (my room was 441 down the far end of a very very long corridor that loops round the pool). The room was clean, heating and hot water worked,...

Stayed over Christmas. Pros - short walk to heritage site, large rooms, clean and pleasant helpful young man at desk. Nice cinnamon buns. Cons- very run down, only on-street parking, wifi limited to very very cold uncomfortable smoking lobby and place generally needs painting, new carpets and furniture. Breakfast poor, a lot of processed meats and all crockery cracked, chipped...

It took the management of this drab and dispiriting hotel three days to find a bath plug for my room. Such facilities as tea and coffee making in the bedrooms and proper lighting in the corridors also seem too much effort. This hotel trades on its location close to the entrance of Petra old city and no doubt achieves high...
