Located just a few blocks away from the town centre, this small hotel offered a decent room and nice terrace to relax. I got to the Petra Reserve entrance by foot and never had issues on my way. I got a great price for 3 nights that allowed me to visit Petra for two days in a row, which I...

This place is so cool. The location and view out over Wadi Musa from the dining room is spectacular. The food was great, and plentiful, and the location in relation to Petra was so handy. Would recommend this place to anyone. The hotel isn't super flash, but in my opinion makes up for it in spades with it's character and...

We came with our two kids (9 and 11) and had a great time, but we do think this hotel would be so much better in the spring/summer. We were so cold, in our room and also in the dining room. The views are incredible here (best in town), staff were lovely, breakfast is ok, location a bit out of...

I'm so torn about this place... because the owners are great and hardworking but we had some bad luck with our rooms. Because we booked two rooms it leads me to believe that our misfortunes were not just a one-off situation. Cleanliness - cleanliness was fine, no complaints with the cleanliness of the rooms or common areas. There was a...

This hotel is not a 5 star resort, BUT the best in all of Jordan! What the hotel lacks is by far made up by the staff. Simply the best. They made my trip to Petra outstanding! Everything you could ask for, and more. You would miss so much if you stay somewhere else. Thank you Rocky Mountain Hotel for...

We stayed 3 nights. Good base to explore Petra which is a few minutes drive away, also near some restaurants and supermarkets. Also good location to drive to Wadi Rum and Aqaba for the day. It was cold in evenings in Dec, so paid the 2 Dinars per day for heating which was effective. Hotel can only be paid for...

I booked for two (2) nights. I arrived in Amman evening, and had problems with my luggage. It was tagged for additional security...so I was stuck for two hours at the airport. I made arrangements with the hotel for a taxi/ride from Airport to their hotel. It was reassuring that someone will be waiting for me. I arrived at the...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Rocky Mountain Hotel and found it a comfortable, or as they say homely, base to explore Petra. Coffee and breakfast on the top floor is a good way to start your day and their packed lunches are generous, as is their advice on how to discover Petra.

It's not the fanciest of places, but it's very homely with extremely friendly and accomodating staff. The room is beautifully decorated with Jordanian (?) designs. The terrace/lounge area has some of the best views of Wadi Musa. The free shuttle is helpful, it would be much better if they have extra shuttle for Petra by Night, because taxis in Petra...

You could almost miss Rocky Mountain in the rush to reach Petra but don't over look this little gem. The views from the balcony and Bedouin style roof restaurant are simply stunning. I have returned many times to the hotel. I first visited at Christmas when a decorated tree, dinner and the red rugs were a welcome sight after a...
