Despite having sent multiple messages in advance, we didn't get any relevant information about our stay. It took him hours to respond and he wasn't picking up when we called. Huge misunderstanding regardging their shuttle service and a lot of money and time wasted (since the hotel is outside Wadi Musa you will have to pay 10JD one way to get to the hostel). The first night we slept in a room where the sheets hadn't been changed (I found hairs on my pillow). The kitchen and the shared bathroom were dirty. Our luggage which the owner took inside was dusty and dirty as well. Then the next day they moved us to another house. The breakfast which was very basic costed us 5JD per person and it wasn't even served for us. We wasted time waiting until we realised we had to make it ourselves. When we arrived at night our room was freezing cold since the window was left open. The owner wasn't even there, he was in his cave and he ignored our messages. There was no heater we could use in the room, the people there let us use a heater from another room for half an hour so we were cold at night. We were very disappointed with the lack of communication and how Jo handled all this convincing us he had told us about everything before, which he didn't do. Next time inform your guests in advance what the stay includes and provide a second number in case they can't reach you and don't make people waste their previous time because every second counts!…
Perfect welcome, we agreed to be picked up in Wadi Musa and accompanied by the owner at home. He was very punctual. The rooms are clean bright and spacious, there is the possibility of using the spacious kitchen but we didn’t use it because dinner and breakfast were very abundant and convenient. Ghassab speaks English, German, Arabic and Italian he’s very funny, easy going and knowledgeable. More, his meditation yoga is legendary. There is also the possibility of sleeping in his cave and admiring the stars. an unforgettable experience Thanks for the beautiful time spent together
Was great experience! 5days in Jordan and this experience stood out! Ghassap has great knowledge, fun and I learnt alot. When coming to Jordan would recommend his hike! Comfy beds and stonge WiFi helped with making plans. Recommend :)
I stayed a few days at Bedouin Pink EcoHouse visiting Petra and its beautiful surroundings, and I really felt like at home. The place is quite central and also very quiet. The rooms are all different, nicely decorated and can accommodate up to 4 people. They also have a family room and you can use the kitchen. Jo the owner is a very nice and helpful host. He gave me good recommendations about the area, prepared delicious local food and organised me great tours in Petra and around. I sincerely recommend this place.
Ghassab makes for a great host, he's a hiking and cycling (beyond others) guide who's refreshingly different in his approach and doesn't try to up sell you other services but offers free luggage transport/transfers to Wadi Musa. This place is heaven after a couple of nights camping on the trail, I felt very comfortable here and like the hostel like setup with private rooms. I warmly recommend staying here and only regret not having booked two nights here instead of one in Wadi Musa.
