This was the nicest place that my wife and I stayed at during our week long visit to Manu National Park. Beautiful common/dining area. They have their own bird watching tower. When we went up the narrow spiral stairs I was a little nervous about standing on such a small platform way up on top. Luckily (to my great relief)...

We stayed a couple of nights as part of a two week visit to Manu Biosphere Reserve (Manu itself was absolutely fantastic!!!). We had a knowledgeable and experienced guide (Ricardo H Sanchez Tucto) who was able to explain the park in great detail. This made a difference to our enjoyment as I had wanted to visit Manu for over 20...

This lodge was one of the best that we stayed in during our tour throughout the Manu National Park. The bungalow rooms were simply furnished and clean with a small solar powered lamp and additional candles for extra light. The bathroom facilities were relatively modern with hot water at all times in the day. The dining and lounge area was...

It takes around 7 hours to get to Manu from Puerto Maldonado airport. Four of those hours are on a high speed boat which is pretty hard to beat given the humidity. The food at this resort is second to none, loads of it and very tasty. Our guide Roger was amazing - he could pick out insects and fruit...

The Manu Wildlife Center was by far the nicest of the three lodges we stayed at while in the park. The cabins were very clean and comfortable, the showers had plenty of hot water and there was even a small solar powered lamp for use at night and early in the morning. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The...

Dear guest Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are glad you enjoyed the trip. Vanessa, as you mention, is still a "wild" animal that is friendly with staff as we we have never harmed her. Good you were able to see her as at time she goes out in the field and does not appear in the...

This is a review for the lodge, not for Amazonia which is a natural wonder. I base this review in part on the fact that this is a very expensive place to stay, specially for a family, costing $500 per person per night. It takes a day to get here and another day to leave so on a 4 night...

Dear Guest Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately we had an issues with leaveing manager and new manager and there was a short time with no manager in site. In our predeparture information we mention there is no laudry service in the jungle and it is done directly with people who offers themselves for this duty. It also reccommends what...

I have made several trips to the rainforest areas of the Madre de Dios region, and have stayed in 6 different lodges. Manu Wildlife Center is certainly the nicest jungle lodge in the area. The lodge is adjacent to the dock. There is a nice trail system with a canopy observation tower. While I personally prefer much more rustic lodging,...

This lodge has a very friendly staff, a very good restaurant (3 excellent meals a day) and tries to give you the best time possible in the jungle. Going to see the macaws at the lick is spectacular and a must-do. And seeing a tapir in the night was also worth the visit. When hiking the trails make sure to...

We did a 6 night stay at the Manu wildlife center as part of our birding trip with Manu expeditions. This place is fantastic for forest birding. They have many trails close to the lodge and a canopy tower that is almost 90 feet. Watch out for the sweat bees that start pestering you once the sun rises. They also...
