4 of us, 2 couples, had Cloud Forest Lodge to ourselves, with our guide Henri and Manuel who looked after the Lodge and us. It was June, Winter in Peru, so we expected cold and damp. The rooms were extremely comfortable, we fell asleep listening to the waterfall outside and met the Cocks of the Rock in the morning (gorge...

This lodge appears to be facing problems. It is badly maintained. Boris difficult to reach in Cusco where the main office has closed. The guide and driver were good but overall one of the worst travel experiences we have had. Food poor, the few vegetables served were cooked beyond submission. We did get an experience of the cloud forest but...

We took the 7N/8D option Mr. Boris Gomez offers for visits to the Manu Reserve. The Reserve itself is an amazing place. However, do not do any business with this person! He is a crook! We were a family group of 3 and were grouped with another 7 people, most of whom had travelled from Germany to take the tour....

While the staff (guide, driver and cook) were great and took good care of us the accommodation was not what we had been led to believe. MCFL was obviously once a fine place but the neglect, in terms of maintenance, is very evident now. The information we were sent prior to our trip mentioned the sauna but when we enquired...

My daughter and I travelled to this lodge in mid August, 2013. It was intended to be a relaxing few days following a 5 day trek to Choquequirao. We were met at the train station in Ollantaytambo by our guide and our driver. It is a fairly long ride to get to Manu park but our guide kept us entertained...

We loved the cloud forest thanks to our great guide, Boris! The trip was long and at times a little scary due to the one lane roads, but the driver (Eddie) was very wonderful and skilled. We trusted them and happily enjoyed the views. We stopped many times along the route to see birds and have a chance to stretch....

Manu Cloud Forest Lodge offers visitors the chance to really disconnect from the outside world. No TV, No internet, No distractions! This lodge is beautiful and well kept. It had limited power (a few hours a day), but you will be so busy enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds you that you will not miss it! Monkey's, birds, moths and...

They picked us up at our hotel and arranged for the food and travel on the trip. On the way to the cloud forest, we made periodic stops to see ruins and wildlife. we even stopped at a small colonial town for tea. The guide was very knowledgeable and nice. The cabin we stayed at was very large, and the...

We stayed here for 1 night as part of our 4 night/5 day trip with Manu nature tours http://www.manuperu.com/ who own the lodge. We were picked up at 6.45 (30-45 mins later than promised) and spent most of the day in a minibus getting there. The place is wonderful though, nestled in the forest by the river and the only...

I can't recommend this hotel to anyone expecting modern convenience or professional service. I would definitely not suggest bringing children here. They will be bored. The hotel is also located in the middle of nowhere. Despite what you may read, walking to town from the hotel is not a viable option. This is coming form two young adults who are...
