We booked Zilwa to celebrate our wedding and we couldn’t have made a better choice. We had an amazing ceremony on Gran Zil organized by the wonderful Kim. Going back to the room we had a nice surprise seeing our room beautifully decorated, thank you Bertrand and team :) The Food was delicious, and the waiters were very caring. Everyone really made us feel so special during our 3 nights stay at the hotel and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you Zilwa team, you are amazing!
Zilwa attitude great escape, a must go hotel. Thank you rohan for the superb service, great hospitality, boathouse members super friendly skipper the best snorkeling + glass bottom best. We had seen a shark at the jetty and for snorkeling we saw a sea turtle. Thank you rani for the welcoming at the tadka restaurant. A big thank you to valerie from the reception who has very well welcomed us, she is very friendly and super nice, always available for the guests. Thank you to jeeya who made our stay possible from the reservation of attitude. The concept is very nice
We spent a memorable 5 nights at Zilwa as part of our 10 day holiday. Beautiful location. Loved the island lunch experience! Lots of pools to choose from, so you can find a quiet spot. The best view of Coin de Mire! Great food choices and the Kot Nou was one of our favourite evening meals!
Booked zilwa attitude for my birthday! So much fun! All staffs went out of their way to make our stay memorable and the surprise for my birthday 🥳! Thanks to all specially siva, vivian, amrish, vansh! Rooms were so nice and clean, garden so well maintained, delicious food!
A special token of thanks to Diena who really attended to all our minute details and made sure that we had a memorable stay. The staff was really pleasant to talk to! It was my 3rd time already at the hotel and I will come back for sure. Keep it up everyone. Way to go!

We had our wedding there it was so beautiful on the island. The guest experience staff did everything to make it a wonderful day for us . Thankyou.
We love Zilwa Hotel. From the kids club to buffets to entertainment. Its a hotel you must visit. The food is absolutely fantastic with staff thats all over to help and assist. The rooms are clean with comfy beds. An absolutely must when coming to Mauritius.
This was our first time in Mauritius and our first holiday since covid . I can see why some may think this is paradise however I’ve been to much nicer places in the world . We don’t usually go all inclusive and we are very much culture vultures who travel around but we didn’t do chance it this time due to covid so we opted for this kind of holiday on this occasion ,we now know that this is not our kind of holiday but let me give you our honest review . Hotel - Zilwa have nailed the eco friendly approach for sure and this is absolutely fabulous , the wood drift furniture in rooms and around the resort is really sweet ,Our room was always cleaned and bed made , clean towels , the hotel itself is lovely and relaxing and cool vibes . Staff - some are great , really helpful and cheery and can’t do enough for you , Rani is fab we really enjoyed our otentik experience at her house with her family and the food was fab , her roti breads are the best ever ! Food - always something for every body , we ate at the Indian and al a carte , meals were great however I’d like to have had more authentic Mauritian food , the grand zil beach lunch was nice , we had a few picnics made for us for when we had days out etc , food shack great . Beach - the beach isn’t great , it is man made and it’s grit the beach is like sludge and gos cloudy when you go in the water , this is a let down especially if you expect crystal clear water and a beautiful exotic beach with palm trees etc they are just small bays , we took buses to Pereybere beach which isn’t far . The boat house dos provide you with water shoes if needed which are free , water sports are free too, nice helpful staff . Service - service is great , you are not sat with dirty plates in front of you for more than 5 mins . Location and getting around - there is not much around the area but many people use taxi guides or buses, we did both . We hired a car with the lady at the sixt desk she was very helpful , £79 a day with insurance and sat nav plus you have to pay £100 deposit if paid by card you get it back 15 days later if cash you get it back when have car back , we hired for 3 days but only used it 2 days we got a refund on the day we didn’t use it , sat nav wasn’t that accurate and would reroute or go off route on a roundabout this is more likely because they have not been updated . We took buses to local beaches which is very easy they tell you where to get off and the bus drivers drop you off almost outside Zilwa they all know zilwa , much cheaper than taxis you can’t get lost , days out was a godsend to get away from screaming kids and tantrums . We bought a couple of trips from big John and Denis plus we bought souvenirs from the gents at Zilwa.. no hassle from them at all . Last but not least … the amount of screaming kids constantly was not enjoyable and there was so many kids from newborns to toddlers , the screaming and other kids running riot has been relentless from every restaurant at every meal and around the pool all day , full on tantrums , screaming , there was one family who let there kids run around climbing and jumping on sofas and off them when guests sitting on them , climbing all over the back of them, then there was kids crawling on the floor around your feet , kids climbing up and down book shelf’s , knocking decorations and ornaments every where throwing stuff , swinging round posts and running riot when dancers and musicians are on , barging everywhere when you have drinks and food in your hands etc the worse thing is some of the parents didn’t even bat an eye lid they just let them do it .. we don’t have a problem with being in resorts with families but some of these children here where unruly , although it’s not the hotels fault it may be some rules about children’s behaviours and what isn’t acceptable behaviour needs emphasising to guests with children as I’m sure these kids won’t probably climb up book shelf’s , throw items and jump on and off sofas at home , we was almost close to ask to be moved to another hotel, we have had 16 days of relentless screaming and we can’t wait to get away from it .. we wish we had chose an adult only resort . That is the only thing that lets this place down but other than place is lovely and staff work hard .…
What a lovely stay! Zilwa hotel is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the ocean and a very relaxing atmosphere. We had great service from check-in to check-out. The staff were exceptionally attentive and ensured we were happy at all times. The hotel has a strong focus on eco-friendliness and sustainability which is great. The food and atmosphere is authentic and local so you’ll experience what it feels like to be a true ‘islander’. I would like to give a special thanks to Prithvi who kept us active and entertained with aquagym, water polo, games and evening entertainment. These activities allowed us to meet new people and make memories we’ll never forget. To add, reception is well trained in first aid and a nurse is available on-site during working hours so you’ll always feel safe and taken care of. I look forward to visiting Zilwa again!…
We have just arrived back from Zilwa- what an incredible place- I have to say this is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The first view as you walk through the entrance area looks out onto the infinity pool with the ocean stretching out ahead of you with Coin De Mire Island in the distance. We really loved the natural, more rustic ‘islander’ feel to the place and the fact that they are very mindful of the environment (no single use plastic). I especially loved the decor. What really made our trip a memorable one was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and attentive, always so polite and making you feel totally relaxed. A special mention to Prithvi on the animation team. He has a brilliant energy and sensor of humour. We very much enjoyed his Aqua Gym sessions (almost everyday!) He also took us on the Bike Tour to Goodlands which was fab. You can tell that he has a real passion for his job and that he is very personable- always checking in and making sure we were having a nice time :) We stayed in room 1622 which had incredible views over the ocean- I loved getting up to watch the sunrise. The lovely Amand was very attentive and did a brilliant job of keeping our room spotless. A massive thank you to Rohan who kept our drinks full at the main bar in reception. Such a lovely chap who clearly works very hard always with a smile on his face. I would have to say the highlight of my trip was the Catamaran trip which included snorkelling, boat bbq, swimming in the mangroves and a stop at Deer Island. DJ and his colleague made it a very memorable experience for us- thank you. I feel very lucky to have made some amazing memories with my family at Zilwa, and I hope to come back again in the future. Christina :) X…
