The lodge is a great way to enjoy the mountains. Get a room with a balcony, sit outside, enjoy the cool mountain air and take in the spectacular views to the river valley down below. The lodge is modern with a rustic feel. The rooms are very nice. There is a good restaurant in the lodge, and trails around the...

While we didn't stay at the Lodge we did spend several hours there. Of course the view is outstanding. The grounds are well maintained and provide walkways to enjoy. The indoor pool looked very nice. The building itself is really nice with large wood beams and native stone. It would fit in well at any Colorado ski village. The staff...

My husband and I went to this lodge for a 1 night romantic get-away. We stayed in one of the king size suites and really enjoyed it. The suite had a fireplace and jacuzzi type tub with 2 balconies. The view from this lodge is absolutely beautiful! (and we were there in the winter. The other seasons with color in...

Don't get me wrong, the Standard rooms are nice. But now having had a private balcony with seating for two and the spa tub, I will only book Deluxe rooms from now on. This state park lodge has a luxury resort feel at affordable prices. The only thing preventing me from rating this five stars is the lackluster on-site restaurant....

My family and friends decided to take a day trip up to the lodge last Friday. We all loved how beautiful the lodge was and the drive up to it. We have never stayed at the lodge over night but planning on making it back up there very soon to do so! The views at the lodge are breath taking....

This is a retreat high on a mountain top with spectacular views. The lodge, built along the edge of a cliff with huge timbers and wide windows, offers large public spaces with fireplaces, patios with rocking chairs, balconies on each room and views of sunrise and sunset. The service is very friendly and it is such a treat to dine...

I stayed in the lodge in Sept. 2014 for a work retreat and had a great time. It's a pretty nice hotel, basically. The food in the restaurant was decent (at best), but the views are absolutely stupendous. Because my company paid, I don't know exactly what the room cost but figured it's $100-$125. At a break in our meeting,...

My wife and I have made sure to go for a stay at Mount Magazine every year since being married. After our wedding we stayed there before flying to the Bahamas and fell in love with the place. We have stayed in a two-bedroom cabin, the Single King, and the King Suite. Our favorites are the cabin and the King...

Don't let the title fool you, the hotel was fine. Although it was nothing special the view you have and the ambiance in the hotel was even better. We didn't have enough time to try one of the park ranger programs but we did go to the fitness center and pool. The restaurant was just okay with slow service but...

Wanted a nice retreat to relax, to hike, and to bond as a family. We accomplished all at this wonderful lodge. The building and landscaping is beautiful. Our rooms were quite spacious and beds are very comfortable. We had a gorgeous view from the balcony after the fog cleared. We enjoyed 4 meals at the restaurant and were pleased with...
