I had a good time on the river, Chris knows his way around the waters in the area and put me on fish every day. The rooms are nice and it is a good place to get away. There is a big loge that is idea for large groups were I was part of a fly fishing school in April,...

The Jacksons run an excellent operation -- something for just about anyone. The location is prime -- on the White River near the confluence with the North Fork of the White. Chris is an excellent fishing guide, knows the river, and provides his guests a premium experience, rain or shine. We spent 4 days in the Creekside cabin and really...

The Jacksons (owners) are fine and gracious folks. They run a well supplied and clean operation complete with horses on the loose for the children to love and adults to ignore if they so choose. Everything from pepper, coffee, and kitchen to canoes, kayaks and guided trout fishing is there. It is near Mountain View and the Saturday night folk...

I chose the Riverside Retreat for my trout fishing vacation and I was not disappointed. Our host Chris really went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was a good one. This started before we even arrived as we had driven down an abandoned road (do not rely on GPS up here) and gotten stuck. Chris drove his car...

I had the opportunity to attend the fly fishing school hosted by Chris & Carol Jackson at Riverside Retreat. You cannot ask for better host's, nor can you put a price on the knowledge that I gained. I recently returned from a fishing trip to CA, OR and WA, using what I learned from Chris, I was able to catch...

The cabin was clean and fully furnished with everything we needed. The porch with the Hot tub was a great way to end the day. We stayed at the Creekside Cabin. Check in was easy. The hosts were accommodating without being intrusive. Everything in the cabin function as it should. We plan to return in the next year or two.

This was the 4th time that we have stayed at Riverside Retreat, and each time it gets even better. The reason we love to stay here is for the fishing on the White and North Fork Rivers. If an excellent guide is what you're looking for, Chris is your guy. With his knowledge of the rivers, you cannot ask for...

On a whim, my girlfriend and I decided to head to the White this weekend. I'm a little more difficult guy to please when it comes to a place to stay on the river. I'm there to fish, and I want some solitude. That's it. There's a certain type of crowd that Gastons, Stetsons, Sportsmans, etc., are suited for. That...

We are about to return to see Chris and family for the 7th year. I have traveled the world and would say what is unique about Riverside Retreat is it is exactly how I would want my fishing lodge to be if I owned it myself. Every year is like seeing an old friend...you pick up exactly where you left...

Four friends and myself went to Northfork for a fishing trip. The trip exceeded our expectations. The house we stayed in was very nice and had everything we needed and more. Being right their on the water was so relaxing and you couldn't have asked for prettier scenery. None of us had ever gone trout fishing before, so we hired...

Our White River cabins, with hot tubs and porch fireplaces , and the White River Lodge for family reunions, corporate workshops or church retreats create a White River resort that is very different from other resorts. What makes our place different? ■A much higher level of privacy than you’ll find at other resorts. You’ll find lots of space between our accommodations, only 4 structures spread out over 8 acres. ■A portion of the White River than is not lined with houses, docks and other resorts. A place to enjoy the river, without the crowds. ■A "money back" guarantee that nothing within this website is misrepresented. ■Having 2 canoes & 2 kayaks available FREE for one day for each visit. You have found your place if you want: ■private, cozy cabins with hot tubs and porch fireplaces, ■a comfortable lodge for up to 20 people, ■excellent restaurants just minutes away, and we’ll make your reservations for you, ■free wifi internet access, ■a truly great trout fishery in both the White River and the North Fork River, ■banks, grocery stores, and other conveniences within 5 - 15 minutes, ■having a Guide/Owner provide fishing tips, locations or fly casting lessons at no charge, ■knowing your guide, the owner, loves his job and sincerely cares about your fishing adventure.
