A great time was had at the Rocking Chair Resort with family and friends. Rooms are clean, the resort hosts were great and very accommodating! We enjoyed swimming, fishing and relaxing! Looking forwarding to coming back!

Rocking Chair Resort is the best place to spend time with family and friends. I live in Illinois and have family that lives in Missouri. For the past 10 years we have all stayed at the Rocking Chair Resort and have had the best time. They are so friendly and accomodating to your every needs. The resort is secure even...

Our review is based on two separate negative experiences at Rockingchair Resort last year. We made two reservations at the same time, several months in advance, for 2 separate times during the summer busy “lake” season. The first time we had a rental from them, we showed up late in the afternoon on the day our rental began. The house...

If you're looking for the Hilton Hotel? Keep driving. But? If you're looking to step back into time? We always stayed at one of the little houses up on the bluff. It's like walking back into my grandmas place. It takes a day or two to unwind, we bring our trio of dogs - two who have since passed; the...

Very disappointing, pictures on Internet are deciding, cottages are old, smells terrible, glasses are cracked. Terrible place to stay.would not even want a dog to stay there. Chickens running around outside. Office reaps of stale smoke

We have been coming for several years and usually stay in the two bedroom secluded home. I can say Jane has always went out of her way to take care of us. We have pets and they are always welcome at Rocking Chair Resort since they are family too. As far as the negative review I read about the pontoon...

I hear so many negative comments and it truely makes me very sad. We have been coming to Rocking Chair Ranch for so many years. My parents, my family, and my brother. This is a family run business. Not a big corporation that has a lot of excess cash lying around to make it bigger and better. This family has...

I stayed at the Rocking chair resort in the Summer of 2011. It was a very friendly, relaxing resort. The cabins are great and if you find something wrong, Jane, the owner, takes care of it right away. This is an affordable get away in a gorgeous setting. I have read some of the negative complaints on here and I...

Loved the views. Rolling hills. Great biking (motorcycle). Great boating. They will outfit you. A wonderful family runs it. They couldn't be more friendly. Some cabins are bigger and better than others so ask tell them what you're looking for. I stayed in a 4 BR cabin wi 3 other couples and we fit nicely. So beautiful and relaxing. I'll...
