Went there last Sunday for Lunch with our 2 grandchildren, we were in a room with several other young families. The pub provided game packs to keep the children occupied until their food arrived. The pub has an excellent selection of draught beer. The food was superb, my wife and I shared a plate of selected cold meats (the slices...

We stayed here for 1 night in early October and enjoyed an excellent dinner and a good night's sleep. Preceded by a complimentary glass of fizz, the food was original and seriously good. Our only complaint (agreed by the management when mentioned the following morning) was that the fire in the bar wasn't lit, - a pity as it was...

We stayed here recently for 2 nights and just wish it could have been for longer. The staff here are young, but very professional and friendly and make you feel very welcome. The ambience in the pub is just lovely and I could have idly passed many hours here given the opportunity. Our room was in a separate building behind...

This pub has way better than average food plus a good range made with locally sourced ingredients. We eat here on a regular basis when we are in the UK. There is a good selection of wine at a fair price.

If you are looking for a lovely bar where you can accompany your drinks with delicious pork pies and snacks then look no further. The Queens Arms is both a cracking local and a special occasion gastro pub. Beautiful setting with stunning views from the garden and great staff. The food is always excellent quality, it's worth paying that little...

I use the Queens Arms when I am working in the area and can only reiterate what I have written in an earlier review. The standards I experienced when I first started using the Queens Arms (2 years ago) are at least as good today as they were then. the rooms are extremely comfortable, the food is excellent, the beer...

Stayed here whilst traveling for business. I don't normally stay in this type of establishment but thought as it was near and the reviews seemed very good I would give it a go. Overall a great country pub. (family & dog friendly) Attention to detail was very good and the choice of drinks ( gin) and food was impressive. Room...

Had a very nice Dog Walk in the hills above this pub and then dropped in for Sunday Lunch. Food was good, although the roast beef which 4 in our party had, didn't taste roasted. It was slices of beef which had been cooked individually I think. Anyhow, it was tasty and perhaps a fallback for when the roast beef...

I was looking for hotel around Sherborne but very few choices so I pick this one but didn't realise was far out of Sherborne well only 10mins away! When we arrived it was like a hidden gem to us. The decor and food are so good that we would like to come back again in near future! I'm glad I...

Stopped at the pub during a walk around the surrounding villages. Nice ambiance and warm welcome by the staff. The local beer was good but the wine was a bit pricey; £10 for a large glass! The menu was very good and we had the Ploughman's which was lovely as we only wanted a light lunch. The food that we...
