Our family have visited the Queens Arms for many years and have always had an enjoyable time. Nice countryside location, very friendly staff, excellent food and superb selection of beers. In fact, we're looking forward to their next real ale festival.

We'd only ever stopped off here on our way to Devon or Cornwall in the past but had always been impressed so decided to book a night here for our 10th wedding anniversary. What a lovely place. Comfortable bed and lovely under floor heating in the bathroom. I was pleased to discover that the room below ours was the staff...

My husband and I spent one night at this comfortable and very friendly country pub/hotel. Everything was just perfect from the moment we walked in. Our room was stylish and comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, the food delicious and the bar full of friendly people, dogs and a roaring fire. What made our stay particularly memorable was the excellent service -...

Just the one night stay and a great welcome meant we were shown to our room (8) promptly. Spacious and comfortable with great amenities and a comfortable (bit creaky) bed. The carpets however need either a deep clean or replacing. In the bar there were great choices of ales and cider in a friendly bar with roaring fire. We were...

My husband took me here for a surprise birthday meal. A lovely welcome from the staff and nice to sit by the fire with a drink and the menu. Taken into the dining room which I found chilly (we were the only ones in it). The food was delicious, very expensive and very small. Both of us left hungry unfortunately.

The first stop on a 3 day tour for my Birthday. And what a start! Great welcome from the minute we arrived, and we actually got to sit in the sun in the beer garden - in February! The room was fabulous - loads of space, quite and all those home touches you want from a country pub. Dinner was...

We had an overnight stay in one of the executive rooms on a busy Saturday night, My parents were also staying in another executive room on the same visit. Upon our arrival we were shown to our room, which was not in the actual pub itself, it had a rather grotty approach, via a back door, passing kitchens and staff...

You are greeted with a cheery hello from the attentive staff and there's a feeling that you could be at home. Nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and a warming fire for January. What you would call a genuine country pub. We had a couple of starters as we didn't intend eating but other peoples food looked so good. Not a...

A very nice stay here although there were two problems, one was that the external chimney of the boiler for the central heating was right outside our room (Room 8) and made a noise all night. The other was the mattress was fairly uncomfortable and the whole bed squeaked! The room however was nicely done, warm on a cold night...
