Great B&B in Lower Hut (Pentone). It was a full house - 4 rooms when we stayed, but we didn't see or hear any of the other guests. Our room boasted a 3D television. Close enough to Wellington, with a thriving shopping centre with a good choice of restaurants. We would happily stay here again.

Very nice B&B. It is a stand-alone cottage with 3-4 rooms and the owner/operators living next door. Very friendly couple. Very clean, Well maintained, most of the interior was as new (if not actually new). Tastefully decorated. Fridge, cooking facilities, laundry washer & dryer in shared dining area. DIY breakfast is set up the evening before. There is also a...

This was the nicest place we have stayed and we have travelled both north and South Island. Petone (Lower Hutt) is very close to Wellington and we actually preferred Petone to Wellington as there were lovely restaurants all around the streets close to the cottage. Shelley is the lovely owner who gave us many tips on what to do around...

We too stayed here for two nights prior to catching the Interislander Ferry and were very pleased with the warm welcome we received from Shelly. Everything possible was considered and available for an enjoyable stay. The attention to detail is first class including the 3D TV and Blu-ray DVD player in the room. We took the train to Wellington for...

A very welcoming host who ensured we had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We were very impressed with the large and comprehensive DVD library. Proximity to many types of eating establishments was another great plus.

We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay and sorry to hear you had a slow trip to the Ferry. Usually it is only 15 -2 20 mins but as with any road system problems can occur I guess. Normally our guests have plenty of time for a nice hot cuppa at the Terminal before the 3 hour 20...

Spent a great weekend here.. such a perfect location. A lot of effort has gone into furnishing this B&B -the 3D TV in the bedroom and the large selection of DVD's in the shared lounge. You can cook in the well equipped shared kitchen but why bother with the Jackson St bars and restaurants only 150m to the left. An...

This location just outside of Wellington, therefore away from the maddening crowd yet easy to find and commute to and from the city for sightseeing. This former home has beautifully landscaped gardens, and quiet, clean and comfortable shared areas-living room & kitchen. It was a self-serve breakfast, but kitchen had everything one needed to cook eggs or even bring in...
