The hotel is built like a large log cabin. Our room was big enough, though not huge, and clean. It was winter and the place was warm. Its in a lovely situation. The public area is decorated with amazing wood carvings. We had good food in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly.

We had no great expectations but enjoyed the stay and even eat there. Drinks in the garden recommended as the view of the sea is very good. Rooms are small and the wood walls are varnished with a dark stain: if they had used a lighter colour would have made it airier.

On top of the hill overlooking the water, this is probably THE only decent hotel in the area. The rooms are very small but clean. There is no a/c but you can open the window to get some fresh (and cool) air. The shower is big considering the size of the room - the hot water takes forever to get...

It was a disappointing experience. The rooms are dirty. This is unfortunate, because the location is excellent, and the hotel itself is nice. With a little more care from the staff, it would have been a good place to stay. But the main issue was that the hotel overcharged us. We had a reservation from Expedia but the hotel charged...

The hotel is situated on a high overlooking point of the ocean and has wonderful views, especially from the dining room and conference rooms. All done in wood and rock, the main building is beautiful. The staff are exceptionally nice. Thefood in the restaurant is great, and the management will accomodate special requests that are not on the menu.

We were here for two nights with a tour group. Of the six hotels we stayed in, this one was the least enjoyable. This hotel is working with a real disadvantage since the rooms are very small and it is very hard to move around the room as most of the space is taken up by the two beds. The...

Ancud doesn't offer much so it was a surprise to find this hotel. We chose to stay here for one night as we wanted to visit the penguins at the Puñihuil Penguin Colony (Islotes de Puñihuil). The hotel is rustic, just like a fancy log cottage in a ski resort. A beautiful fireplace greets you upon arrival. It features local...

Dear friends, hello. If you happen to travel to Chiloe, the two main cities are Castro and Ancud. In Ancud most of the travel guides indicate this hotel as the best one and a very confortable one.. Well, it might have been true in the 70' or 80', judging from the age of the decor, but not now. It is...

This beautiful old hotel was apparently constructed by ship builders. The open beams and framing style are unique. Floors are planked. The views from the upper dining area overlooking the channel are beautiful. Rooms were relatively small, and they line up on a corridor that faced town. Views from room windows were of the closeby hotel grounds. The hotel sits...
