Our concierge Nathan provided outsanding service to our family. We were a party of 7 between me and my sister's family. We connected through Whatsapp and anything we needed, from dinner reservations to something in the room, we contacted him directly. We didn't need to contact front desk or housekeeping at all. The lobby of this hotel is beautiful and evening entertainment was fantastic. Great music and staff. Would definitely go back. We paid extra to be on the "Level" side and it was worth every penny! Thank you to Nathan and the Melia Caribe for a great family vacation.
This was our second visit to the Melia resort in Punta Cana, and if this is even possible it exceeded our first visit last year! For starters, the staff remembered us and greeted warmly. Our attending concierge Humberto was so attentive, welcoming and professional that we felt like we were visiting a family member rather than a large resort. I visited several times the Riviera Restaurant, especially after we met Francisco Diaz (the King of the Riviera Restaurant). He is an outstanding person and the best waiter. He made special my wedding anniversary!! Thanks Francisco! My family and I were very impressed with attention even to move from one place to another with in the resort was easy specially after we met Luis. He treaded us like a VIP. Transportation was excellent. Our Ning by were also special! We were every night at the main lobby for the shows and party. We met Maria, a sweet person; she always was pending that we did not runout of stings 🍻🥂 Another heartwarming gesture was the chocolate strawberries, the champagne, and the run. We will be back! Thank you, The Level!!!…
Had an awesome time at my stay here at ocean blue resort. The entertainment was awesome every day. Pokémon and his crew were wonderful! Always there to greet you when they see you around. Highly recommend.
My stay at Melia Caribe was incredibly relaxing. I loved that they had a bar in the pool where I could sit at. Everything in the hotel was made for their guests' comfort. Even the gym was awesome! I met a trainer by the name of Yenny Perez who sang for me and was just overall very entertaining while also being very helpful while I worked out. The beach was beautiful, and the excursions were all very fun.
Had a great time at the resort. It is always a gamble to chose a new resort, and this was an overall good experience. We would go back. Couple of comments: 1. We had a "Level Room". The "Level" stay provides you with a private lounge for check-in and check-out, concierge, drinks, waiting tables and chairs. The service was outstanding and you skip the lines at the front desk. Also, you have a large private pool, private restaurant (Riviera) and private section of the beach. This was well worth it. Ramon Sosa (server at the Riviera) was amazing taking care of us everyday and making us feel like family to him and the team. 2. The resort is a very good size, with various pools and things to do. We were bouncing back and forth between the Level attractions and outside as we pleased. The Level was always quieter and less people. The resort never felt crowded. 3. The water park was fantastic - inside there are areas for younger kids, and the bigger pool and slides for bigger kids. Our teens enjoyed the big slides. 4. Food: We really liked everything. Both the buffets (no reservation) and the a la carte (reservations) were awesome. The Mexican restaurant was fantastic. We went at 7PM usually and there were a lot of younger kids - take that into consideration. 5. Drinks: They were ok. We are not big drinkers, however it felt like they had little alcohol. Some of the frozen drinks were a bit too watery. The Level bar does offer premium liquor brands. Some of the bartenders were not too excited to serve you, which is a big difference from prior experiences at other places we have been to. They don't offer you options typically - just what you ask for. 6. Beach: Nice and safe. It is not the clearest water, if you want to snorkel. The beach salespeople are a bit annoying with constantly approaching for souvenirs, cigars, hair braiding, etc. 7. Night entertainment - they had a stage with shows, DJs, etc. That was nice. 8. We took the private transportation (airport-hotel) and that was great. Easy in and out of the airport. This has improved from years back. 9. Rooms are a bit outdated. But still comfy and large. Very nice place to relax with the family.…
We had a fabulous time at Melia Caribe Beach! Food, beach and entertainment were all great. The resort had amazing shows for the whole family every single night which our 5 and 3 year olds absolutely loved! We ended up upgrading to Levels and we do not regret it one bit. Everything was just awesome - exclusive beach area, buffet, restaurants, service etc. We would highly recommend upgrading. As part of the Levels exclusive package, you get a Concierge that literally does everything for you including all your restaurant reservations and anything else you may need assistance with. We had an amazing concierge that made our stay absolutely amazing and easy! Travelling with toddlers is not easy so the fact we had someone who helped us make reservations for the times that worked for us as a family, bring extra towels, extra water etc. lifted so much weight off our shoulders and made our stay just that extra special! A special shout out to our Concierge REY who was just amazing!!! He was always available- responded within seconds and made every request happen. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We would definitely go back to this great resort and ask for Rey ;).…
I had a blast. I'm glad they had a gym at Melia Caribe because I didn't want to lose my exercise routine. The gym trainers were both awesome especially Yenny Perez! He was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed the music very mucha
I would like to make sure to highlight that I have chosen this hotel because I have stayed in Melia in the Bahamas and I was so satisfied of their service and standards that I imagined this would match up, but I was wrong. We have paid 4 rooms to get insulted everyday during our stay. I will mention point by point all issues we have encountered in this location. We have reserved 4 rooms, part were arriving from new York and the rest local. - The check in process was about 3 hrs long not counting the time we were made to wait in the restaurant. We arrived from the airport around 12:00pm and since the rooms wasn’t ready we did the pre check-in that took about 40 minutes (we asked for all the rooms be close to each other and the same category) and they asked us to have lunch in the restaurant, the rest of the group arrived around 2:30 and we returned to the reception to complete the check-in and register everyone. The person that was at the desk did not have a clue about hotels or customer service, she registered everyone and proceeded to say that we had to pay for an upgrade of $50 a night for 3 rooms since one was already a level category. Then she proceeded to say that the rooms weren’t ready still and it was about 4:00pm already. We had to talk to a supervisor and she checked us in rooms that were ready around 5pm. - When we arrived to the rooms, they weren’t close nor were the same category of rooms. - We requested a wheelchair for my mother in law repeatedly and it never arrived nor we were given an answer about availability. - Our daughter of 25 y/o was checked in with us in the same room and was given a standard bracelet so when we arrived to sit in a snack bar to grab something to eat she was refused service because she wasn’t level, we went to explain the situation at the reception to talk to a manager and the front desk agent proceeded to say she was a manager and she never apologized for the inconvenience and she kept writing while I was talking to her and laughing with her colleague to disregard everything I was saying. - We were taken to the Level lounge to give in the complain and the person listened to everything we had to say and said she would contact us the next day, that of course never happened. - As level we were assigned a butler but he had done nothing but send a “good morning” message every day but when it came to make a reservation or solving an issue that never happened. - Our room was in front of construction of the property ( dust noise was unbearable in the room couldn’t enjoy of the terrace area) - The food! Is horrendous and watch out for food poison. It is a real issue. My mother in law had food poisoning. - Every time we have gone to a restaurant there was always and when I say always its literally the truth, there was always an issue, the level of service in this place its disgusting, if you ask for no ice they would bring ice and yell at you for asking for no ice; or if you were to ask for juice they would the tell you with a rude attitude you had to wait to be serviced, we honestly felt like we were ruining their vacation and we were treated like we were begging. - We were never able to make a restaurant reservation because they deny service. - This was a family reunion and the staff of this hotel (except a couple that I will mention at the end of this review) had done everything in their power to make it difficult and impossible to make it enjoyable. - Upon check out we talked someone about all the complains and the upgrade charges that processed and never followed through and they had the guts to say there were no comments about any complains. Now to the wonderful people that had gone above and beyond even if they weren’t supported by management: Francilin (bellboy) Marcela (Room service) she has done everything in her power to help us in everyway possible, she was genuine and definitely hospitable, Fausto (restaurant) and Johan ( waiter ) always had a great attitude and very helpful. I have to admit the hotel itself is good with a huge potential and they are clean but the staff makes this place a nightmare.…
This is a beautiful resort staffed by amazing people! The beach is beautiful but not the best part of this resort. The best parts are the people. If you stay at the Level you will get to work with Nathaneal (our concierge) and the members of his team and Roman and the staff at Riviera restaurant. The swim up bar at the Riviera is part of the Level. Octavio and Ruby are great there! Juan del Rosario is a highlight at the Barefoot Bar and Grill… outstanding food right on the edge of the beach. If you enjoy a casino, you’ll be greeted by Rondo and his welcoming smile. Table games and slots available. The beautiful grounds are amazing with a combination of well-maintained lawns and natural mangrove. Birds including families of peacocks are everywhere. The pools are well-maintained and include both family and adults only options are available. The value of an all-inclusive is when you leave wanting more. I can only lay on the beach and the pool for so many days … but 5 was definitely not enough! There were so many incredible food choices, in particular the many specialty restaurants for dinner. We enjoyed the Vietnamese and Italian restaurant choices but the stand out was the amazing food at the Tex Mex restaurant The Hacienda! Do not miss that Sangria! For me on vacation, the activities make all the difference! We had a delightful evening with Oxnard and his painting experience! The magic show and the Circus acrobats were delightful! But the superstar, the MVP of our trip was Juan Luis Tavares… the legend known as Sexy Body! He was the amazing, generous and my favorite person in the DR! We felt like family and we felt the love!! Tracy Perry and Bill Keevan…
Went for a wedding first time at this resort and the staff throughout the resort was so helpful. Even if they were not that great speaking English they were quick to find someone that does. Rey was most helpful and always made sure I had a ride to everywhere I needed to go (had a sprained ankle) he either came himself or sent someone within a few minutes.. I will definitely be back soon.
