I really wanted to love this resort-I was in awe of the property when we arrived. It was beautiful.
However there were several issues that prevented me from enjoying my stay.
1. People are smoking cigarettes everywhere (the lobby bar and pool area especially). As...More
Overall, one of the better all-inclusive resorts in Dominican Republic although don’t believe the “gourmet restaurants” claim. Never felt as if the resort was busy, except when you’re looking for a pool cabana! Restaurants are never full even though they’re “booked and unavailable.”
Paradise does exist! My experience was 5 star all the way. The property is stunning and immaculate. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the resort is spotless. Attention to detail is abundant in this resort. While staying in an ocean front suite, we were delighted...More

the climate is somewhat cold but pleasant, we must bear in mind that in the tropics, cold is that the temperature drops to 25 degrees Celsius, however it may seem rainy but the rains appear to be very intense but are usually very hot. Short duration, it is curious but when it seems that the sky turns gray at any moment it becomes clear and everything returns to normal, in point the bad weather lasts no more than ten minutes, except in May to July which is rainier, rest do not be afraid to go and enjoy the tropical Caribbean!

The road from the front door of the hotel to the main gate is about 3 miles round trip. There's a well maintained sidewalk that you can run on, and plenty of employees and security walking about. I've always felt 100% safe on the property. There are also several other roads that run through the adjoining sister properties that you can tack on to your run without ever leaving the Iberostar grounds. If you're looking for longer than 5 miles or so, I think you'll have to double-up on some of the routes, but it definitely can be done.
