Like any 5 star resort the food, beach, and resort grounds are impeccable and near impossible to improve upon, but what sets Iberostar Grand Bavaro apart are the wonderful people working there. Not just professional and competent, but personable and warm like old friends; we felt like family all week. Our butlers Armando and Jesus, Maria and Francia and Javerla in the restaurants, Yerfi by the front entrance, and many others. Thank you for making our vacation so great.
The Iberostar Grand Bavaro is a fantastic resort. The staff caters to your every need and provide outstanding customer service. Rafael has great customer skills and personality to match at the check-in desk. Our butler Danilo was great and always made sure we were taken care of. Nikel and Julio in the lobby ensured we had all our needs taken care of and assisted us with getting our Covid test and excursions booked. Lorraine, one of the hostesses at the buffet and at the restaurants always has a smile on her face and is quick to greet us and make sure we had drinks. Darlyn in the Star Prestige lobby is very professional and made sure we had our favorite wine delivered to the restaurants to have with dinner. He also, jumped in to assist when our airport transfer was late by calling the company. Overall the staff cannot do enough for you and always make you feel like a VIP. Housekeeping always kept our room spotless and ensured we had plenty of towels. The entertainment be the lobby is great and full of talent. The theaters show were also wonderful. The pool was clean and there was always an available cabañas and lounge chairs. We were only able to go in the water at the beach a couple of days due to seaweed but other than that the beach was great. No rocks or rough surf. Manuel at the Star Prestige section of the beach, greeted us by name everyday always had a cabana ready for us and with our favorite drinks. The food was also great. The breakfast buffet doesn't disappoint and the specialty restaurants stepped up their game from past visits. I highly recommend the Japanese restaurant. …

My wife and I visited Iberostar Grand Bavaro for a much over-do romantic getaway. This resort was very well manicured, the staff was super friendly, the beach was calm and relaxing, and the pool was lively and fun. The resort provided as much entertainment and fun as you desire, while also allowing as much relaxing and romantic environment as you need. The food was all very delicious and the bars made sure we were always taken care of. A HUGE shout out to Michael McHugh with Dream Services Vacation Services for helping us with every detail of this romantic vacation for my wife and I. If you are not using them as your travel agent, you are doing it wrong. We can't wait to vacation again!!!
Our butler Darlyn was wonderful. Whenever we turned around, he was there to aid us in whatever way he could. He would travel down to the beach or to our room to give us the latest on our dinner choices, our shuttle time, the tv remote, and each day a general check-in. He was priceless, because he made this trip effortless. We were so lucky to have him as our advocate! Muchas gracias, Darlyn!
Had a great week. Augusto was amazing at the beach. Victor, Pocho, Wilfredo, Amelin were amazing. With many more. Caesar was attentive as Butler! Food at the restaurants were of high class. All in all great week!
The hotel is very good and service is friendly. The restaurants has a large variety of dishes and the bars has a very good service. The only point that I did not like was the maintenance of the lift that still broken in the most part of the days that I stayed there. The other problem is the room service that was failure (all the items request not come).
The staff was amazing! Every step of the way they were there to serve you with a smile and their innate joy for having fun with us! Our butler Darlyn was unique and special! Wherever you turned, you were there for us and we didn't miss the slightest thing! The facilities were in excellent condition, with the colonial style fitting the history of the area. The room was unique and the view excellent! They cleaned the room 3 times a day! The restaurants, the buffet, the bar, had this excellent and exclusive treatment for all of us, with a variety that covered every need, always with joy and smiles from all the staff. The entertainment was for all tastes and occasions! As for the hotel's sustainable development initiatives, we are glad that it fully adapts to modern needs! The resort was great … the food was amazing . Especially the steak and lobster . Our butlers were amazing , Juan and Gerlyn …. The nicest gentleman in the world !! We were there when the hurricane hit so had a couple of quiet days but the staff kept it upbeat and brought a great breakfast to the room . It was cleaned up pretty quickly . Only complaint was the last night we ordered room service and it never came and they didn’t answer when we called but really not the end of the world
