private resort next to beach. ideal if u want to be away from crowded Aonang. Great service and friendly staff. Stayed in pool villa and sala villa w family of 9. Take morning walks along the beach and go kayaking. Breakfast overseeing beach is great!
Excellent food, beautiful views especially at lunch time, I wish we had stayed at this hotel, the staff were very good. I had the stir fried sea bass in black pepper sauce, just delicious. Service was very good. The head chef is genuinely interested to see if you enjoyed your food
I’ve missed bot being able to visit the Nakamanda so it was a very welcome return. We travel the world quite a lot and if I had to pick one hotel to stay in this would be it. There are more architecturally superb and feature packed hotels out there but very few that embrace the natural beauty of their surroundings so well and Krabi is beautiful. The place blends seamlessly into its surroundings and leads naturally to the sea and it’s quiet little bay. You see the long tail boats come and go, a few local fishermen hand netting for small fish and generally watch the world go by. The contrast between high and low tide is stark meaning you never get bored. There is a more traditional sandy beach a few steps round the corner. The staff are caring and many have become extended family to us over the years. The restaurant has a setting which makes you keep pinching yourself and we have eaten well. Thai food is the best option, a yellow prawn coconut based curry and a whole fish in garlic and black pepper were stand out dishes this trip. Neither were overly spicy. The rooms are spacious and feature outside sitting areas or salas very much like a thai house would. Housekeeping worked really well this trip to clean the room when were out maybe having breakfast or on our travels. There are some bars and restaurants within walking distance, either via the beach or the road. The Andalay beach bar round to the left as you walk out onto the beach would be a recommendation, some interesting tree houses to chill out in. That said we always rent a car to go off exploring. Price is a very personal thing but the Nakamanda resort bridges international hotel and local pricing meaning you never feel uncomfortable. It has a lovely boutique vibe and you definitely feel the envy of anyone walking along the beach wishing they’d chosen more wisely. During the covid lockdown it’s nice to see the resort has invested in several areas seeking to improve the property which meant that as regulars it still felt fresh. We will definitely return.…
We loved our stay at the Nakamana, definitely our favourite hotel in Thailand. The staff made us feel so welcome and at home. The whole resort feels like a tropical paradise and our upper sala villa was really well designed with beautiful wood and stone finishes. The private outdoor space is great for chilling with a cup of tea in the morning and a Chang at sunset. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby up and down the beach, and the food at the hotel is great too. Amazing views at breakfast looking out across the beach to the sea. Great pool and sunbed area. We also enjoyed using the sea canoe and getting involved making the baskets for Loi Krathong festival. Special shout out to Lee who was so lovely and welcoming to us. Just sad we had to leave!
Nakamanda is simply amazing! We stayed there pre COVID and upon returning, it is still amazing. Great location on a lovely beach with attentive, friendly staff. There is a lovely restaurant and bar (especially for sunset cocktails) and the breakfast buffet is something else. We stayed in the Jacuzzi Villa and it was lovely. Can't recommend this places highly enough. We will be back ASAP!
I had never been to Thailand before. Spent several weeks in Thailand and our last stop was Krabi. We were so delighted to find such a fantastic place. Best room and best food we have had. The staff is super attentive. Made out last stop in Thailand amazing. We loved every moment. We will be back.
I have the chance to have a husband who works for an airline so we travel a lot... This hotel is one of the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff is astounding!! Everything was so perfect! I've been to other 5 stars hotels and this one is beyond my expectations! The rooms, the restaurant, the swimming pool, the beach!! I have no words to describe how professional the team was! Special thanks to Num and to the chef! We had fun! We will definitely Come back!! Manini family.
We had a lovely stay at upper floor villa. The view from the 802 room was fantastic. All the amenities were top notch as well as the staff being extremely attentive. The location right on the beach was great as you could take a 5 min stroll on the beach to beach bars and restaurant. The ambiance, the pool, the curated gardens are a great addition to the hotel service. The hotel had a private feel whereby we fell we were the only guests witch was a nice change after Bangkok. We would definitely come back. Thanks to the cordial staff who made our stay even better.
Had a perfect relaxing Holiday at Nakamanda resort and spa, krabi. The resort is beautifully built with small cottages with enough privacy and Serene surroundings. The beach is only a step down from the Naga terrace restaurant and bar. Onlooking the beautiful beach and small island, the resort is one of the gems. The resort has a beautiful pool and sitting area. The food was excellent and the chef takes personal care. Ms. Por, the director of sales takes extra care and efforts to make everything go perfect. Looking forward to visit it again sometimes soon.
After staying at a larger resort just down the street for a couple nights, this property was very refreshing. Higher level of care and service and the villa style rooms were far more unique too! Beautiful large beach front pool with a kitchen and bar that kept the Thai meals and cocktails coming! Highly recommend staying at this resort during your stay in Krabi.
