Finally made it to The Banyan Tree Krabi after having to cancel and rebook about 5 times due Covid and it’s was worth the wait. Reservations team prior arrival excellent at managing changes and cancellations due Covid, rebooking and then re booking without an issue. Pre arrival mails received to ensure all was as we wanted. On arrival, the lobby and view are stunning, you get the feel straight away this is a special place. We were quickly checked it and introduced to our resort host Fah who escorted us to our Premium Pool suite, which was immaculately presented with decent sized pool and a stunning vista. Breathtakingly beautiful. The resort is large and occupies the far end of Tubraek Beach. The beach although public has a private feel and is gorgeous with powder white sand similar to The Maldives and clear blue water. It really is quite lovely and one of the nicest beaches in Thailand we have been to and have been to quite a few. The resort look and feel is Thai but somehow colonial in feel similar to what used to be The Banyan Tree In The Seychelles. All pool suites and villas are set majestically into the hillside and sloping to the the beach. Buggy’s transports you around the resort. The hotel main pool reminded me of The St Regis Pool in Langkawi. Decent sized infinity pool right on the beach. Lots of loungers, Bali beds, bean bags dotted around and places to relax and hideaway if you so wish. Never felt busy tho resort full. Breakfast at Naga Kitchen everything you would expect from Banyan Tree and a 5* luxury resort, Vodka Bloddy Mary’s and Mimosas included if the mood takes you. Naga kitchen relaxed and romantic for lunch and dinner , reasonably priced with nice quality food. Saffron the fine dining Thai restaurant delightful, built into the ‘mountain’ and tree tops. Lovely food and service. Happy hour, although a tad early from 3.30 to 5.3P at the beach bar throughly enjoyable and often busy with those in residence. Nigel the hotel GM was visible on site during breakfast and happy hour chatting to guests and runs a very tight ship! All the staff were and are on-top of their game and seem to know about you/who you are. Nothing is too much trouble and always service with a smile from reception, room attendant, pool attendants, buggy drivers, servers etc. Fah, our resort host was delightful and sorted anything and everything we needed - taxi’s, trips to a barber, changing reservations, booking restaurant reservations - anything you need. What a great little service all on WhatsApp and all attended too immediately. Great service and done with the most positive attitude. Fah is a keeper Nigel ! There was and is nothing I disliked about BT Krabi in fact we loved it. It is everything we look for in a luxury beach holiday and resort. LGBTQ friendly too with many couples in residence alongside ourselves. BT Krabi is the jewel on TUBRAEK Beach and indeed Krabi for sure. 10/10. We will return. Don’t hesitate if reading this, book and enjoy the lush surroundings, refined atmosphere, true Thai hospitality and let your cares drift away until leaving. Thank you all at BT Krabi 👍 Steve and Cos…
Banyan Tree Krabi is sensational. We experienced the best service ever, and I’ve been to plenty of top hotels where the staff are rude or incompetent, so this really did live up to and exceed our expectations. I feel like I could quickly point out the few downsides…the rooms could be bigger (we stayed in a full ocean view pool suite) and better designed inside and out, and it lacked some obvious things like a dining table & chairs, not least as the suite itself is such a nice place to spend time and get room service to. And some might say being located half an hour from Ao Nang & Krabi was an issue as you had to get a taxi everywhere but the remote location made it perfect for a honeymoon and so much more relaxing. The hotel itself is modern & immaculate and the flora & fauna and wildlife from huge 4 foot lizards to pretty birds and dragonflies is stunning. The exterior grounds are pretty, with a lovely pool area (quiet as all rooms have their own pools) and fabulous beach bar which is the perfect place for pre dinner drinks. The housekeeping team were superb & the daily turn down service with gifts and sweet treats was a nice touch. Our villa host Kwan was incredible and did so much to make our stay perfect & even organised some stuff for our next week at another Banyan Tree resort. Sonty & his whole team at the beach bar were so much fun & knew us by name and our favourite drinks after only a couple of days! The staff make all the difference here. It may not have as many facilities as other 5* hotels but nothing at all was too much trouble…and the little details, like calling a golf buggy to take you back up the steep hill to your suite just before you finish your meal or breakfast so that it’s waiting for you as you walk out. I’ve rarely seen such great coordination of staff and proactive service…like telling our host we love the red dragonfruit and all of a sudden that appeared on our fruit platter in our room every single day…amazing! The food quality was outstanding and meant we didn’t eat out as much as had intended. Even room service was pretty decent! The buffet breakfast was wonderful, probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere…a huge selection in beautiful surroundings where you can indoors or outdoors, fantastic hot options, a daily changing trolley with local chefs cooking a speciality like pancakes, wonderful pastries & sweet options, an egg/waffle/pancake chef and stunning fresh fruit. The only slight downside was that the egg service was a bit slow and the juices were poor as they tend to be sweetened. We also ate at the Naga Kitchen for dinner & had lovely food but it was Saffron (which you reach in a mini open air cable car) that had the really fantastic Thai fine dining experience with top notch service. Back to our pool suite, while it was quite small, we enjoyed time on our huge loungers outside and in our large plunge pool which had the most epic views of the islands. Honestly could never get bored of falling asleep or waking up to that view. And it felt very private in spite of having other rooms below us and to the side of us. The experiences are not cheap, but they are worth doing, such as dining in the birds nests in trees overlooking the beach & sea. We did an intimate bath experience which, for couples & honeymooners cannot be beaten. Simply imagine your bed being set up with a canopy & fairy lights and then you walk into your bathroom stepping on flower petals to a bath with a heart of orchid and rose petals, as well as wine and chocolates; just an amazing, memorable experience for both of us. We also organised a private long boat tour to Hong Island and two other islands which was epic…so nice to get the boat from our hotels beach and go directly to the islands before the crowds arrived. The beach is also wonderful and virtually private as this is the last resort in Tubkaek. Overall, we can’t recommend this hotel enough. A true 5* experience with the most wonderful staff, perfect for couples, honeymoons, families & friends!…
Overall we had a great 3-night stay at the hotel. We tried the Ocean pool suites and while they had great views, we felt the pool villas like in BT Langco provide a better service and way to enjoy a true beachfront experience. Having said that the overall experience was quite positive. Staff were amazing as is expected of such kind of a place. Attentive to the smaller details, with warmth and always looking for ways to make your experience better. We had one negative experience at the special Bird’s Nest dining when the service was excruciatingly slow and the staff kept apologizing for it saying they were short-staffed. But all our other dining experiences were great, especially at Saffron which is one of the best in this BT. Spa was great, as were the other facilities in the resort. Overall, it was a great experience and we will look forward to our next trip!…
We have stayed in Banyan Tree Krabi for 7 nights and it was superb stay full of relaxation. Very polite ,attentive and friendly staff, delicious food, amazing views and lots of greenery make your stay truly relaxing and enjoyable. We have used spa several times and loved massages there. One thing that we can suggest is to add few sun umbrellas at the beach as it was very hot when sun came out and some shade would have been appreciated. Definitely coming back next year! We had a wonderful honeymoon stay in January 2023 for 8 days. We found the hotel to be of an excellent standard with the highlight being its staff. All were amazingly welcoming and often did over and above the normal levels of service. Of particular note were Noi, Kety, and Pong running the bar, Noui at breakfast, Toey around the pool, and Fah in reception - thank you for your efforts! The location is stunning, with an outlook to die for but you should be aware that this is a reasonably remote hotel from the hustle and bustle of a town. It's at the end of a series of hotels, with only a couple of independent restaurants in walking distance. The local town of Ao Nang can be reached with the free shuttle bus (20mins), 11am in and 4pm back. There are taxi huts available outside each of the hotels though - 400BT seems to be reasonable each way to Ao Nang. Hotel breakfast is extensive and delicious covering European and Thai tastes, and the two onsight restaurants provide tasty options at typical UK dining out prices. The pool was huge and whilst we were there we often had it to ourselves; the beach and sea being another option. Having a mini-pool outside each of the apartments was a welcome option and may have kept more people away from the main pool. We thoroughly recommend the hotel and would certainly consider going back if we decide to go back to Krabi.…
This resort is beyond words😍 Beautiful place with breathtaking views The staff were all very friendly and we received the best service ever I must say the location of the resort is at best place of Krabi Definitely would come back❤️ I can’t thank you enough for the memorable stay and service
We could not have asked for a better place to round out our Honeymoon trip to Thailand. We stayed for 5 days / 5 nights and received the highest level of detailed service from start to finish. As two hospitality professionals we pay close attention and were extremely impressed. The staff remembers names, room numbers and preferences and made us feel at home from Day 1. We would like to take time to recognize those who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special: Toey & Lek - welcomed us to the beach each day and took the time to get to know us. Toey was always there when we needed him and is a true professional. You can tell he loves his job and guests. Lek helped us paddle board and kayak each day and was so patient in teaching the other guests. He also has a great sense of knowing when it’s about to rain and would always warn us! Nai - greeted us each morning at breakfast with the warmest smile and remembered “our table” and coffee orders from day 1. We truly enjoyed starting each day with him! Pong - our bartender at the pool. He took great care of us and was a pleasure to talk with. Nanny, Mo and Milk - our lovely servers at Saffron and Bird’s Nest. They were extremely attentive and lovely to chat with each night. Above all, what made Banyan Tree so special for us was the small details. A small gift each night with turndown service, the daily “lunch dessert” dropped in the room each day, an abundance of soaps and lotions in the bathroom, and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Joe & Meaghan …
Fantastic property with nice beach and amenities. Great room for 4… glorious views. Staff was very friendly and helpful in all regards. Food decent. Only downside is the property is far from town so need to take car. Have good tour and boating offerings available. Beautiful spa.
Very nice hotel. Service is excellent. Staff is very polite, professional and always eager to go extra mile to make your stay comfortable! Property is very well maintained. Good options for food for vegetarian people like us. While in Krabi you mist do long tail boat Island Hoping tour. Room service is fantastic. Hopefully Banyan Tree can open more resorts in Caribbean, North & South America. Some staff had problem with English but no big deal, there will be someone from staff who can speak English to help you out. I used google translate app, it was very convenient! Overall 5 stars!
There are not enough positive words to describe the Banyan Tree, Krabi. It is the most astonishingly beautiful place. The hotel and grounds are in pristine condition. It’s quiet, extremely clean and eco-friendly (no plastic - glass bottles of water & all the toiletries are made from biodegradable materials). The design of the hotel is modern, classy, and generally amazing. One of the most spectacular and arguably best features has to be the lobby. The decor and views are breathtaking. You instantly feel at peace when you arrive. The location is superb too. The hotel itself offers enough to do that you do not need to leave. However, if you seek adventure, it is within close proximity to other places to explore, including Ayong Nang town (which also has the Monkey Trail), Dragon Crest Mountain (the start is a 5 min walk from the hotel), and the Aonang Elephant Sanctuary (less than 20 mins drive). You can also get a taxi to the Tigers Cave Temple, Emerald & Blue Pools, and the Hot Springs. There’s a variety of boat trips to different islands too. The hotel has a gym, restaurants, a kids club and a private beach area. There are a range of daily sporting activities (including yoga, volleyball, power walking), and on the beach there’s kayaking/paddle boarding available, all free of charge. All of the staff (the hosts, the concierge, the cleaners, the maintenance staff, the gardeners, the kitchen staff) are exceptional. They are the most kind, helpful and polite staff. They go above and beyond. We were made to feel extremely important & valued. In particular, we would like to give a special mention to our host Tarn. She was wonderful & ensured we were happy & had everything we needed. The room was luxurious. The bed was extremely comfortable and spacious. And again, the views were extraordinary. I have never been an early riser but I was having such good night sleeps that I was waking early & was able to appreciate the views from the bed. We had our own private swimming pool and jet pool. We felt we could completely relax, as no one overlooked us. The hotel promotes eco friendliness & encourages guests to choose when to have their bedding/towels changed (rather than automatically doing this daily). But there is room service daily for a general clean (including the pool). And there is also a ‘turn down’ service. Unfortunately, we missed this a couple of times, as we had our do not disturb sign on but the turn down was lovely (they prepare your bed, nightwear/slippers, close the blinds/curtains, plug in a mosquito repeller, & light a scented wax melt). We also got 2 small daily gifts; a food treat & a little momento. The food was exquisite. The presentation and taste were phenomenal. The staff always checked for allergies and were very accommodating to any dietary needs. I’m vegetarian and would often choose meat or seafood dishes but asked for these to be removed, which they kindly did & meant I could enjoy some Thai cuisine. There was lots of choice for breakfast too (a buffet style). We are very grateful for the holiday of a lifetime.…
