Myself and a friend visited Gold View as our final stop in the Philippines. Due to coronavirus the hotel was quite quiet and we were made to feel so welcome. Any queries we had they were there to help us and were genuinely interested in our experience in Siquijor.
After the holiday I realised my jewellery was not where I thought I left it, in a panic I contacted the hotel and they luckily had found them and were really helpful in getting them to my friend and her to bring them back to me.

Would definitely recommend this hotel (first review I’ve ever bothered to write!)

Really can't thank the Resort enough. That resort truely is a paradise! Located directly in front of the beach with no other people around you you can enjoy the most stunning sunsets directly from the huge (everyday cleaned) pool! You'll find your rooms and the whole area of the Resort spotless cleaned due to their huge efforts to give you the best experience during your Holiday. Very well decorated Resort. The grass and the plants are cutted every day, your room will be cleaned daily. Honestly thats the cleanest place we have stayed so far in the Phillipines. The food and their shakes are a bomb (try the Carbonara and bukko shakes!), you can enjoy the Pool as well as their tennis court or take a chair and relaxe directly on the beach. Even if they are fully booked Out you will always find your own private space. The motorbikes which they rent for a fair price are brand new. Most amazing is the staff because they treat you as a family member. They even know your name from the beginning. Special thanks to Angel and Faith who where the pearls of the Resort! We enjoyed every moment here and can highly recommend this place. Best value for Money. If you think about going to Siquijor don't waste your time in searching for a Room - book it and enjoy!

This was a great stay. Very good and clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. The restaurant and bar was well stocked and had a lot of choices. The strange thing was that even though the resort was close to fully booked it was hard to see more than 5 other persons there. It's ideal if you want to have a very quiet vacation. But if you are looking for more "action" you have to travel.

The staff was very helping and accomodating. And they had very new and good scooters for rental. We drove a lot and it was very good bikes. The helmets was crappy and old...

This is a beach resort, but the beach is not very good or nice. It's rocky and at low tide you have to walk far on rocks to get to the water.

There are only a few good beaches on the island.

Negatives:
1.No or pooooorrr internet!!!
2. No cable tv. If there is no internet, at least they could give us tv cable..Reason: No load for prepaid????
3. A/C is only 3/4 hpower? Very hot especially summertime dude!!!
4. Be sure you have globe as your provider... otherwise hahaaha!!!
5. Make sure your body waste doesnt smell bad( aka poo...stool...fecal material)...why? because the toilet is not totally separated from the rest of the room. Not in a compartment...
6. The beach is desserted....man they dont put some sort of shades near the beach so we could hang out.
7. Not well maintained resort...xpt for the tennis court maybe which i didnt see people playing... how about basketball or billiard table instead?
8. security guard is only at night????
9. No tvs in the bar or any sort of recreation....
10. In other words its quiet( maybe nice to some) BUT BORING PLACE!!!!

Positives:
1. Friendly owner.
2. Nice staff..

The place is very nice, both in terms of location, rooms, gardens, pool and so on. It's also clean and very well maintained. The staff and the two owners (a Philippino-Italian couple) are not only super professional, but also full of care: we really felt at home here!
Overall, the best place where we have been in the Philippine, so - of course! - we definitely suggest this pace.
If only we could change something, we would like the staff to be always updated regarding the ferry schedules from Siquijor's ports.

This is very nice place to stay for couples and family, not for a big group like us. Some of the rooms are not finished yet especially the comfort rooms. I love their food choices. and prices. Very nice swimming pool.

Visited the place with family. The room is big and clean. Grounds are well maintained. What I love most is the pool and their dining hall. The resort can process credit card payments so tourists doesn't need to bring a lot of cash. They have new scooters for rent if you want to go around. Ms. Faith will gladly show you a map to help you decide the best places to go to.

The owner and the staff are friendly and helpful. Food are reasonably priced and delicious! Thank you so much for making our stay very memorable.

I would highly recommend this place.

Suggestion: Experienced power outages at night. Would be nice to have a rechargeable fan.

From the moment we got to the resort, we were greeted by a lovely lady named Faith and two beautiful dogs (Kai Kai and Goldie, which were two rescued animals) Faith was very attentive and made us feel instantly welcomed even though we had made the hotel booking two hours prior to arrival.

The resort is nicely spaced out, with a large sized swimming pool and a nicely kept garden. The beach is a stones throw away where you can watch the sunset with a nice glass of gin and tonic.

We had booked the double room which was clean, cozy and had everything we needed with clean white sheets and a very comfortable bed, which my fiancé and I are extremely fussy about. The air conditioning seemed to be on the blink which meant that it was not blowing cold air however after notifying Faith, she moved us to a king size room which was bigger and had a kitchenette. She was extremely apologetic but she did not hesitate to move us.

The breakfast was included in the price however we have had so much Filipino cuisine whilst travelling around the Philippines for a week and a half that we just wanted something familiar which was an English breakfast. This was by far one of the best English breakfasts I’ve had in the Philippines and therefore ordered this every morning. The English breakfast was not part of the included meal but we were happy to pay extra PHP160 per pax.

We also had dinner there the last night because we were leaving early the next day and ordered a adobo, pinakbet that came with unlimited rice which was tasty. We were given x2 complimentary home made creme caramel and x2 San Mig Beers which wasn’t expected but was a lovely gesture. We told Faith that we had to leave early the next day and therefore would miss the breakfast because the kitchen was opened from 7 and that was when were getting picked up. Yet again she had anticipated our needs and offered to open the kitchen earlier to cater for us.

We can honestly say that our stay here was fantastic, always so friendly, personable and will go the extra mile.We would come back here again and most importantly recommend our friends and family to stay here when visiting Siquijor.

Thank you Gold View for making this experience a home away from home.

From your London friends - Chrissy and James x

Stayed for three nights, had a great time. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The resort is big, and very relaxing. Pool is good size, clean.
Like the rest of the island, you’ll need to get a moped to travel around and they rent out scooters from the hotel.
The beach is on the door step. Siquijor is a quiet and relaxing island, (however lots of things to do), and this is the perfect place to stay. Most attractions seems to be this side of the island.
Thanks for a lovely stay!

We stayed there for 5 days. Huge area, new, clean room, nice quiet beach and a clean big pool, good food too and moreover, what is so amazing in this property are the management and staffs. We celebrated New Year there and my 44th Bday. On my birthday they really went extra mile to make it so special and memorable for me. They surprised me with a Bday cake and all the staffs and management sang Happy Bday to me and gave me their DIY bouquet during our breakfast. Really so nice. While we were having breakfast, the housekeeping team did their own gimmick too and prepared our room with Happy Birthday laid bugambilia flowers which shocked me the most. This gesture really touched my heart and no one really ordered them to do that. I heard once they heard that I was greeted at the restaurant they instantly came up with their own surprise. I have never felt this kind of special treatment before and I am so grateful and humbled. For me Gold View is the best place to relax and feel at home and base on my experience you will always feel No. 1 or VIP. The staffs and management are always helpful, polite and very friendly. Still some improvement necessary like some entertainments for kids, facilities just for chillin' around, sports facilities could be awesome too, but they are newly opened and I think all these entertainment features are on its way to serve the customers much better experience when in Siquijor. Thank you so much Faith, Don, Angel and Vilma and the restaurant male service ( I forgot the name). We had a wonderful time in Siquijor because of you.

We flew with PAL from MNL to DGT and then caught an OceanJet ferry from DGT pier to Siquijor pier. The airport at DGT is every close to DGT pier and the ferries to Siquijor are scheduled with air plane flight arrivals. Easy to get to as we had no issues on the day.
