On the positive side, the staff were all consistently friendly, helpful, and diligent. The water is beautiful, the diving pretty good (not advanced but full of life with healthy reefs), and the sit down restaurants were pretty good. The few problems I had were fairly immediately addressed. My first suite (on the North side) was dark, moist (the AC only...

Let me explain about us first--my husband and I are age group 50-65. We went on this trip with two twenty year olds. We are used to staying at Four Season or the Ritz-ty0pe of hotels in suites or on club levels; so, I was a bit concerned about some of the reviews I saw regarding this hotel. Hoping for...

I spent 6 days at the Costa Caribe Coral by Hilton, the staff was very pleasant, the grounds were very clean, plenty of food and very good. However the gym is extremely old the equipment is disgusting, the beach towels are very old and terrible, the room was clean but the sheets, pillows and bedspread were gross and disgusting ....

I got sick from the food. The customer service was nonexistent. When we complained about something, the man at the front desk told us if we didnt like it we should stay somewhere else. It was ridiculous, they did not stock our minifridge so we drank a canned soda instead of a bottled soda and had to pay ridiculous amounts...

I came here in hopes of a nice relaxing vacation with my parents but it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. It started with the check-in. My mother and I have similar names so they thought 2 people were staying in the room -- even though 3 ppl were standing in front of her. Once we...

Ok so this was my first trip out of the US so yes I was pretty excited in the first place, but I spent days looking on the internet reading hundreds of reviews and finally decided on this hotel because of some very positive reviews I read and because of the price. A girlfriend and I went down Mar 16-23...

We are a late 40's early 50's couple from Mississauga, Ontario who visited in early April. Given the wide range of opinion expressed in the reviews of this resort, we were pleasantly surprised by what we encountered here: A well-managed resort in excellent condition, nice spacious rooms, compact design, beautiful surroundings, very friendly, accommodating staff, good dance shows, great variety...

I am not kidding. I was pre-warned the resort was full for Easter weekend and planned to expect hiccups. However, I was not prepared. After spending a few days in the very nice Hilton in Santo Domingo, I was shocked by this hotel. We arrived we were given a room which we called "The Cave". Very little lighting, crooked cabinets,...
