We so enjoyed our stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful, admittedly we were very lucky as we were booked in for 2 nights and on the second day had the place to ourselves. It was wonderful wandering around, swimming in the pristine pool, enjoying walks to the lake and the fish pools. We sat by the lake and...

This tented lodge is everything and more than you could hope for on the shores of Lake Eyassi. The setting - lush forest looking out over spectacular views of Lake Eyassi and the Ngorongoro Highlands. Small ponds dot the property and shade is always nearby thanks to the abundance of trees. We litterally felt the temperature drop dramatically when we...

Location - Lake Eyasi, not known for its wildlife, but we were hear for the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes and it is very close to the them. The roads to get here are pretty bad, but it isn't too far off the main road to the Crater. Staff - amazing (as most camps in Northern Tanzania) Food - very, very...

Our tour operator picked this camp for us, and we were thrilled. After a very long and dusty drive you arrive at a beautiful oasis of green, lush, surroundings at Kisima Ngeda. Be sure to try to give yourself some time to enjoy this camp. If you arrive late in the day and leave early the next day you really...

My wife and I stayed here for one night on our safari a week ago and had a nice stay. First off, the road here is really an experience, it is 1.5 hours of bumps, dust, rocks and traffic jams. We were surprised that anything existed at the end of this road that goes on forever, through many small villages...

This was one of our favorite camps. We arrived here after a long drive and visit to the Hadzabi bushmen. The hotel has a beautiful view of Lake Eyasi and you see lots of birds and even cattle go by. The hotel offered us complimentary laundry service which was picked up around 3 PM and delivered that same night. It...

This was my favorite place in Tanzania - well ... the most unusual and really completely different place. Everyone comes on safari to see and appreciate all the amazing wildlife - and we hope to be able to understand some of the culture and meet some of the people. That being said - you arrive at this camp after a...

My husband, myself and another couple went on an 8 day safari when we were in Tanzania in September 2013. We stayed in a more luxury tented camp, a lodge, a more rustic tented camp and Kisima Ngeda which was our favourite. You do not go there for the wildlife. It is at the end of a long, rough and...

A different setting here on Lake Eyasi. Peaceful and jungle-like, we shared the area with many monkeys. (Velvet). A gorgeous property, unexpected after the dry, dusty approach. A hidden gem! An elegant pool and lovely seating area from which to gaze at the lake, with it's waterfowl. The open areas for dining and lounging were comfortable, except for the bats...

This was the smallest of the 4 camps we stayed at on the 8 day Good Earth Safari that my daughter and I took, but she said it was her favorite and I can see why. Because it was small it seemed like we got very personal service and that service was second to none. We were treated like royalty....
