I had such a good time at nyaru. The accommodation was always perfect, the food was one of the best foods in the whole world and the people were so nice. It felt like a second home. I totally recommend it. Thank you !

Beautiful does not even begin to describe the lodge, the landscape, and all the animals you will get to meet. The lodge is very well kept, and the staff is extremely welcoming. They did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. Every single meal was delicious and well presented. The owners are extremely humble people who... More

Nyaru is one of these places where you know right from the moment you set foot there that you want to be there, and you want to stay there. Nestled in a beautiful valley, next to a lake and surrounded by sweet thorn bush, this little haven feels as if it was made right for you. The central thatched building... More

Having dinner by the fire with a couple of nyalas peacefully walking around; super exciting encounter with a caracal; all attention you could imagine from the staff; peacefully located cottages - these are just a couple of great things that come in our mind when we think about the time spent at Nyaru!

Being enthusiastic birders, my wife and I heard that Nyaru Game Lodge was a good birding spot for our target birds. Thus we recently visited Nyaru and booked an early morning game drive. Our guide/ranger was Christiaan Viljoen who was very passionate about nature. We found Christian to be extremely knowledgeable regarding birds, animals and plants of the area. We... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Nyaru. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and welcomed. We loved the game drive and the nature walk was a really wonderful experience. Christian was so knowledgeable about the surroundings, both flora and fauna, and was a charming guide. Nyaru's charm is in its simplicity, do not expect 5 star luxury or... More

We had a fabulous 2 night stay here whilst on our honeymoon vacation. Greeted with complimentary drinks on arrival and an hassle free check in, I was really impressed. The cabin ( 5 sleeper) was perfect for just the 2 of us as it gave us a little more space. Although the dinner menu was somewhat limited we enjoyed a... More

Spent 2 days at this magnificient location. Staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and very nicely equipped. Loved it. Also did the 4x4 game drive (because sadly 1 of the quads was broken at the time). It was very entertaining and we got to see a lot of the nice animals inside that little reserve up close. Can... Nyaru was our first stop along the Garden Route and our first experience of a game reserve. It proved to be an excellent choice. The chalet was very comfortable as was the bed and bed linen. And to top it all we had a fire in the braai both nights we were there, adding to the atmosphere. Breakfast is varied... More

We stayed one night at Nyaru with our two kids 11/14. We love the thatched roof buildings and its african charme. Very friendly and flexibe staff. Great expirience to view the game on a quad with a competent guide.
