We stayed in River Bend cottage. We were so happy with our stay as Natasha was so so accommodating and made us feel right at home and that nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed elsewhere in Graaf Reinet and can honestly say that this was our favourite experience to date. It is situated on the edge of town...

What a lovely Karoo cottage: neat, clean and tastefully decorated. Situated in a quite part of town for a good nights rest. The breakfast, prepared in your own cottage, was nice, although the lamb sausages were undercooked. Look no further, this is the place to stay in Graaff-Reinet.

We stayed over at Cypress Cottage on our way back to Johannesburg after spending some time in Cape Town. Natasha was really helpful and friendly. She booked us a place for dinner that evening and ensured that we had everything we needed. The accommodation is very clean, neat, spacious and the towels are extremely soft! The aircon was wonderful in...

We arrived in Graaff-Reinet and decided to find somewhere to spend the night before continuing our journey. As this was peak season most places were full. We found Cypress cottage on booking.com but decided to first go see what it looked like. Fortunately they had a cancelation and was able to give us a newly renovated self catering unit. The...

I stayed one night en route from Joburg to Cape Town. In a quiet street even by Graaff-Reinet standards, some nice views of the mountains. A friendly welcome from the host, who had booked me in to a restaurant for dinner, but from then on its no service self catering. I was in one of the newly converted cottages across...

We with our 2-yr old booked the Family Room at Cypress Cottage in Graaff-Reinet on route between Jhb and Plett and found ourselves in two minds about the room and hospitality offered. It started out by us not exactly knowing where to go or park on arrival as directions were a bit here and there... It got much better when...

Stayed one night while visiting the Valley of Desolation. Big, clean and comfortable rooms. Needed laundry to be done as soon as possible and staff made an effort to make it possible. The cottages are in a separate house than the owner/reception which made it quite difficult to contact our host - must go outside and knock on the door...

GraaF Reinet is a useful halfway point to stop on your way to the Garden Route. By the time you get here you have broken the back of your journey and you will want a compfy bed, good breakfast and a cool house to chill out in at the end of a long day's driving.
