If you have a change, stop here for lunch. The portions are huge and well priced. The avocado is lovely and pasta bolognese is enough for 2. Add to that a cold beer and sit down and relax and watch teh world pass by.

Well established and has history. Pleasant enough rooms (new extension out back and left if facing car park). Wifi available gratis but local network is poor. Nice bar food. Basic breakfast but was ok by local standards. clean and tidy if showing its age. Off road parking (not secure but guards present all night and had no issues with vehicle).

Nice place especially if you are visiting the gorillas in the mist. They offer lunchboxes and transport to the Safari. You can feel the historic heritage, Dian Fossey stayed at this place when she came down grim the mountains. If you want to exploee the city, walk down left from the hotel.

This place actually exceeded our expectations. The rooms are pretty big, the bed is also large and comfortable, there is constant hot water, and the staff is really accommodating. It is certainly not fancy, which is why I didn't give it 5 starts, but for the price, it is an amazing deal. Would definitely recommend it if you don't want...

Very solid place to stay. You won't be disappointed with the accommodation or the restaurant. The staff were friendly and the location was perfect for heading out on a gorilla trek. There is also the added bonus of staying in the same hotel that Dian Fossey did.

This is like staying next to history. Fossey spent part of her life here while studying gorillas and I was in room 14 just two doors down from her room, where there are some photos and a shrine and some excellent information placed for those interested in knowing more about her life. The rooms here were big, roomy, and typical...

We spent 1 night at the Muhabura as part of our gorilla trekking package with Umubano Tours. We arrived after dark (8pm) and the receptionist was expecting us and showed us to our room as well as helping us with preparations for our trek the following day. He very kindly lent us use of the office phone, as our Rwandan...

We stayed here for two nights during our trip. this is a really decent place to base yourself to explore the volcano national park and musanze's markets. Very friendly staff in reception and the bar/restaurant The first night we stayed in room 3 which is part of the older block of rooms and querky - it definitely has a charm...

We stayed at Muhabara the night before our gorilla trek in Virunga forest. The reservation process was easy with just a phone call and no deposit required. The location is in the middle of Musanze, easy to find, and near other hotels and restaurants. Check-in was straightforward and our rooms were ready immediately. The garden/grounds of the hotel are quiet,...

The hotel is, like all accommodation in east Africa overpriced. Room comfortable but bathroom smelt a little damp. The reception staff struggled a little with english but overall were friendly. They arranged a driver for me for 2 days with no problem at all. The restaurant staff were great as was the food. 15-20 minute walk to the town centre...
