Carnelly's offers a range of accommodation: bandas of different sizes, small twin rooms and a dorm with shared common ablution block and camping. We stayed in a Banda and a twin room, which were clean, tidy and well appointed. The bonus of our stay was a giraffe who wandered into camp for all 3 days we stayed! The food is...

Good mosquitoes net. Helpful staff. We rented bikes from the camp. They were in great working order all day. The bathrooms were super clean and the showers had decent water pressure. The bike ride through Hells Gate was a huge highlight on our trip.

This was our introduction to Kenya when I went backpacking with my friend. It was great. We got a private room with shared bathroom which was clean and comfortable. The smoothies were yummy and it is in a great location to Hells Gate National Park, which I highly suggest doing by bike. Camp carnelly let's you rent out bikes there...

The high rating on this place is misguiding as it mostly by people who eat here. Food is excellent. Fresh, created from scratch and tastes heavenly. Try the Swahili Curry and Cheesy Nachos (and everything else on its menu). The camping grounds also look decent. However, DO NOT stay in this place in the regular accommodation. The Bandas are disgustingly...

We camped in a large open area on the shore of Lake Naivasha. Huge trees around us made for a beautiful setting. Birds were everywhere. Washrooms clean and well equipped. Restaurant outstanding! We also rented bikes cheaply and while not in perfect condition, they serviced us over 20km.

I didn't stay at this campsite, but the grounds are beautiful, I only came across a couple of times for a meal and a milkshake (which are superb by the way). The bar is very welcoming and comfortable, the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and the menu a godsend. I had the steak kebabs and they were fantastic and reasonably priced....

What can I say? One little piece of African charm that has barely changed (my last visit here as a local schoolboy on our regular sailing club camps from the other side of the lake - in 1973!) Camp Carnelley's retains the authentic feel of 'yesteryear', while facilities have modernised in a subtle, low impact way. The staff and management...

Very nice camp which has options of Banda (with attached toilet), rooms with no attached toilets or camping. We stayed in a banda for a night and one night in a room. Banda: Banda has 4 beds and is a mid sized cottage with attached toilet. The toilet does not have a door but you can draw a curtain. The...

Room options include Bandas which were cool as the temperature dropped in the night and small twin rooms which with windows were warmer. Very warm with everything shut up during the day. Excellent campground, modern wash houses, great restaurant (reviewed elsewhere) boat trips to see hippos and a tremendous amount of birdlife some visiting the restaurant. Close to a number...

It is a wonderful place to Camp by the shores of Lake Naivasha. The food is excellent and the waiters are very friendly.Oh same to the manager of the Camp. I will recommend this camp site for any person who would like to have a quite day/evening by the lake side. I will have to visit again in April 2017.
