Friendly staff, rooms are clean, despite the lack of air-conditioning (but there is a fan). If you like TV, you have your own decoder and you can flip through the channels. Stayed here unexpectedly after flight to Nairobi was cancelled. Staff were sympathetic and luckily had rooms for three of us. I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms, and delighted that the bed had a REAL duvet! It's the little things... Water provided in the room was also an important touch. Visiting this place after a year or so and it is now well settled and a comfortable place to stay.The manager Eunice is friendly helpful and very accomodating to the guests with advice and information about Kisumu. Was a bit put off at first sine it is quite basic and a bit run down. But turned out having a nice stay with clean rooms, hot water in the shower, good dinner in the restaurant, and helpful friendly staff. Internet connection was horrible. I don't have much more to say but trip advisor forces me to write at...

Rooftop Bar? This is the bar to be in Kisumu! It’s a bar on the roof, above Salazar Hotel. Amazing views of the lake and the sunset. free wifi. Convenient town hotel. Neat rooms, High internet Speeds, great food, nice music at the bar, Variety of drinks fairly priced, Friendly staff. Have stayed here twice, back in September and now.
