Awesome tree house accommodation. Only visit if you are up for an adventure. The facilities are minimal, no electricity ( some solar lights are there) and basic beds and stuff. The staff is very friendly ( They are a family) and Martha cooked delicious dinner for us ( dinner is roughly ~AUD 10 per person). The place is very neat,...

Tanna Lava View Bungalows is located close to Mt Yasur Volcano. Absolutely loved our time here. The tree house is awesome with an amazing view of the Volcano and tropical rain forest. Would definitely recommend getting up at sunrise to see this view. The staff and neighboring village are very friendly and welcoming. The accomodation is simple (as there was...

My partner and I stayed a few nights in the treehouse. The accommodation is basic but it is a once in a lifetime experience and waking up to the view of the volcano at sunrise is something we will never forget. We were a little anxious having read previous reviews about rats and bugs however we were not bothered by...

in the middle of the forest , close by the volcan, one hour walking distance from Imayo tribe and one hour walking distance from Sulphur bay. A good place to relax with the sound , the view and the ashes of the volcano. Rustic place, be prepared. You have the choice between tree house bungalows or bungalows

At the moment they habe two treehouses with a great view on the vulcano yasur. From the bungalow you can walk to the vulcano. So you can save the money for the truck. They have as well a small restaurant where you can get lunch and dinner for 1000 Vatu each meal. The people are very friendly and helpful. Just...

We went to Isaka village with 2 friends for few days. And we just loved it. We were welcomed by Daniel and Marc our young guide for the next days. When you arrive you can measure the impact of cyclone Pam wch was terrible. But people there keep being so kind and smily, rebuilding everything and welcoming us ! We...

This accommodation can hardly to be called a hotel if you expect this from booking with booking.com! It is a village stay that has cleverly hooked into booking.com. The owner Daniel was helpful. The tree house was great if you're not afraid of heights, and does give a view of the volcano glowing at night. The rooms are VERY basic...

Dear Rob B, Thank you for your nice and true comment. Daniel and the family worked so hard after the devastation by Cyclone Pam to get how they are now. On behalf of Daniel and family, we thank you for your visit to their bungalow and hope your experience in Tanna was enjoyable and memorable. Warm regards, Mayumi Green The...

Lava View is open for business! The two tree houses are epic and the traditional village setting is a million miles from home. Not sure you will get better views anywhere else on the island. You can do a nice trek to the Volcano or you can use the village truck for a small fee. Fantastic host and guide made...

For a memorable, off-the-beaten-track adventure, it's hard to beat a night in the Lava View treehouse bungalow and visit to the Mt Yasur volcano. The treehouse is rugged but clean and comfy, the views sensational, hosts Daniel and his family could not be more hospitable, and will do everything they can to ensure you enjoy your stay. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Experience Real Village Life at an Eco-Friendly Bungalow, Lava View Bungalows is an integral part of Isaka Village. The gentle rhythms of authentic village life surround and welcome you. Dawn breaks to the sound of children playing, roosters crowing or the echoing music of ceremonial shells. The rumbling of Yassur, the volcano seen from your bungalow verandah, is a constant soundtrack to the day. We are a sustainable, locally based small community enterprise. We think globally and act locally: your bungalow is made of local materials, very basic and is powered by solar energy 24 hours a day but no power plug is not available. Please bring spare batteries for your camera. Meals feature fresh organic local vegetables, fruit and meat. We are committed to supporting the development of our community. Your stay helps to fund school fees and other community projects. Our deep knowledge of the culture and customs of the local area means we can customize your stay to suit your interests. At Lava View Bungalows, our family looks forward to welcoming you to our world ... a unique experience you will never forget. Note: Airport to Bungalow transportation is available. Please send email to ask any question, however, we can only check email every few days. We do not sale alcohol, and no refrigerator at our bungalow, you can bring your own drinks such as red wine and spirits if you wish to consume alcohol. We are surround by the village and forest, so there could be flies, and insects. Please bring Insect repellent. If you have any problem with height, we do not recommend you to stay at the Tree House but we also have bungalows on the ground. We built the bungalow from scratch again since the Cyclone, devastated our bungalows so it might not be the perfect but we will do our best to make you feel it's home. ... more   less
