I was underwhelmed by the low energy response from front desk when our group checked in. The low energy never increased. Think motel park in US, that's what this hotel reminds me of. I like the secure parking. It was emphasized to me by Hertz in Salta to not leave rental car on street at night in Cafayate. Who knew? I would not stay at Cerro de la Cruz hotel again. Energy not quite right. My travel mates did not like hotel either. My hotel selection credibility was slightly diminished through the selection of this hotel.
it is a simple hotel, the rooms are fairly sized and clean, maybe a little dark, also because of the colour of the walls. The hotel is in the outskirt of the city but still within walking distance to the centre. Parking for cars and bikes is in the courtyard, very safe. The breakfast is good and adequate, prices are very reasonable.
The hotel is modern but has a bit of a rustic feel. Decent hotel with clean, good-sized rooms. Breakfast was the typical one we saw elsewhere in Argentina (ham, cheese, croissants, breads), but they had loads of local jams and served everything in pretty terracotta bowls. Front desk staff was nice but not overwhelmingly helpful. There is free wifi and free parking within the hotel. The hotel's biggest drawback is that it's a 10 min or so walk to the main town square. But that's not a bad thing after a fat steak and a few glasses of wine!
