My wife and I stayed at Aunt Edna's Bed and Breakfast on Little Bay Islands in September. The house is a beautifully preserved heritage home just up from the water. It is easy to get to and is the best base for exploring the island. Sharlene is a wonderful hostess We very much enjoyed her company and her hospitality. The...

Thank you for the review of Aunt Edna's and our beautiful Little Bay Islands. I've put on my travel writer hat now and I'm on the other side of the country now writing about other small islands in Canada and how they survive and prosper. I'm starting with Gabriola Island, one of the islands of the Gulf Islands of BC....

we were attending a wedding in Baie Verte Nl and decided to add on a baycation ( Little bay Islands, Twillingate etc )...we stayed at a number of beautiful places along the way. In Triton for the night, our host suggested that we call Aunt Edna's and ask for lunch at the B&B which we did. Sharlene informs us that...

Thank you, I really enjoyed meeting you and I'm glad I had the chance to make you lunch. We should never be to busy cleaning house to pass up connecting with people, I really enjoyed myself and the sheets got washed too!

Aunt Edna's, run by the vivacious Sharlene Hintz, is a jewel. Beautifully kept and appointed, spacious, welcoming. The bedrooms are lovely, the bathrooms big and sunny, the entire place is a treat. The gardens, the sunporch.... Sharlene takes good care of you but is never intrusive or over-bearing. The meals are great - she is a terrific cook! I stayed...

Thank you for the great review of Aunt Edna's, your visit was short but I'm glad you left sated and happy. Next time plan on a couple of days and we will get you out in boat, as they say in Newfoundland!

5 stars are not enough to rate this unique Bed and Breakfast. We came to Little Bay Islands because we wanted to see one of Newfoundland's last true outports before it disappeared. Aunt Edna's Boarding House Bed and Breakfast is the only show in town (no other accommodations in town other than a cottage rental. And no stores or businesses...

My brother and I loved staying at B&Bs during our stay in Newfoundland. However, there are good B&Bs and then there is Edna's! It is really like staying with a good friend - and one who can cook! The Island itself is really gorgeous and Aunt Edna's is a great base for exploration. Sharlene, the owner, provides solid advice and...

Thank you for the great review but I can't take all the credit. You two were great guests who appreciated and were interested in our beautiful Little Bay Islands and her people. I'm on the road now till next year writing and researching islands in Canada. All the best!

Sharlene, owner and operator of this unique boarding house is an excellent host....you will not be disappointed, you will be welcomed with a sincere hello...given excellent breakfast and other meals if needed. Our recent 2 night stay with Sharlene at Aunt Ednas turned into one of the highlights of our trip. The house is beautiful, nicely decorated with lovely period touches throughout, a very comfortable room, separate private bathroom with clawfoot bath and even a possible mischievous resident spirit who unfortunately ignored us! As there are no eateries on the island Sharlene...

Our stay at Sharlene's B&B was one of the highlights of our trip. The house is charming and detailed decorations catch one's imagination back to olden times on the classic island.
