We booked this 'hotel' for two overnight stays when traveling to and from the Highlands. When we first arrived we actually drove past it, as we thought it was an old house that had seen better days but we soon realised that it had to be the Dinwoodie as there was nothing else there! We drove up the pot-holed car...

Unfortunately none of this chaps views were disclosed during his stay. Were he to have done so, remedial action could have been taken. This review is mainly based on the first stay, so we wonder if it was that bad, why they came back!? To answer some points: We are a listed building and are only allowed single glazed sash...

We stayed one night on the way to the highlands, The staff were friendly and welcoming we had an evening meal which was very nice, but the breakfast was, well, how do i put this ? 10* A superb meal (including Haggis) to set you up for the day.

The butcher had been :) The steak was good and the steak and ale pie is highly recommended The breakfast was a good start to our long journey. We stayed here for 1 night on the way to the highlands. The bedroom was clean, but could do with a redecoration. The whole place is stuck in the 80's. There was...

Was visiting this area and was recommended this place for lunch last Sunday.. Was very quiet and we asked if they were serving lunch. A gentlemen asked us what we wanted to drink and said to take a seat anywhere and someone would bring us the menu. We took our drinks to the table and a pleasant girl brought us...

Well we were staying at the Days Inn on Motorway nearby and we were recommended to pop along to this hotel for a meal instead of just opting for a burger. The Dinwoodie is set back from the road, and although you'll be told you can't miss it - you can you know! But make sure you don't because its...

For the price of this hotel we wernt expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. Rooms seemed to be newly decorated (very tastefully) they were spotlessly clean & a good size. Food was just amazing. Breakfast & evening meals were wonderful. Prices were very reasonable. The only thing was we were at the front of the hotel and you can hear...

Finding Dinwoodie Lodge is easy its situated just off the old main road where it runs right by the motorway. The building has plenty of character and is a listed property. The host was very attentive and the room large with a single bed as well. Being cold time of year an electric heater had also been provided which kept...

I know there has been some comments about the state of the rooms and our room needed work to bring the bathroom up to standard. But it was clean, warm and spacey. The breakfast was one of the nicest I've had in years - highly recommended!
