4x4 camping for 4 day's. Arrived and was booked campsite 1 right next to staff housing. (See pic) ask if we can be moved further away but no effort was made, just told that the other sites are full. We sat there nightly looking at the other empty sites and wondered why nobody made any effort to accommodate us. I... More

Large campground, more so than others. Showers are cleaning hot water. Baboons are sometimes an issue at this park, although we had no issues at all. The park gate is supposed to be open 6am-6.30pm, however we found the gates opened at 7am and closed (padlocked shut) at 6pm so be careful if you are planning. On leaving later in... More

We stayed only one night and had 5 tents and 2 land rovers and had a decent sized camp site quite close to the washroom and showers. There were only a couple of other campers so it was pretty quiet. We heard hyenas all night and saw a civet right next to our tent. There was hot water, but usually... More

We arrived to the South Gate Camp in the heat of the afternoon to be met by very pleasant and helpful staff, much much better than the Nxai Pan staff. We quickly booked a site for the night and asked them if they knew of space at Fourth Bridge, which was where we want to go the next day They... More

We spent one night at South Gate campsite. Camping area is a lot more open, so you do have clear visual contact of other campers. Ablutions were clean with hot running water. No lights Most liked - being at the entrance/exit does make it convenient if you arrive late Important Note - We found that most of the wildlife were... More

South Gate camp site was not originally on our ititnerary, but we spend 1 night here as it was too late to drive further into the park. Didn't see too much of the park for that very reason. Clean ablutions and camp site. Friendly gate staff

Yes, campsites (pitches) have no water or electricity but that shouldn't be a surprise if you've done your research! You must come into Moremi fully self sufficient. We found ablutions clean with hot showers! Saw lots of game - went in dry season - no issue with roads. Black pools and xini pools great loops! Stayed 3 nights! Loved it!... More

Considering the private company that owns this site is able to charge premium rates from their captive audience, this site was in a particularly poor condition. Charges are in the region of treble the cost of a campsite outside the park. The campsite provides fairly basic facilities: camping pitches with fire pit and communal ablution blocks, no electricity. Standards of... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this camp. There is no water or electricity at the camp sites. The bathroom facilities is equip with solar panels. The idea of wild animals in the camp is exciting and unnerving at the same time. Especially when we found 2 Lionesses only 200 meters from our camp the next morning. The Black Pools... More

We didn't like our stay and especially the staff at the entrance gate. They didn't want to have us enter the parc without a booking for a campsite. They told us all campsites were fully booked and we had to stay at South Gate for a hefty fee of 540 Pula. Twice the price of other campsites we had in... More
