Stayed one night for the Día de la Tradición gaucho festival, which btw was a highlight of my trip. The hotel was located very close to the center of town and the festival. A quite charming colonial building and garden. The room was rustic with very basic facilities. Breakfast was average. Due to the scarce number of hotels and the...

This is a house of very much years managed by a typical hospitable family of Areco. The house have a interior square, comfortable rooms identified with name of musicians classics. If you are interested in photography, in the rooms is possible to make a good job! The breakfast is very rich and abundant. There are free parking into the place.

My husband and I stayed at the Posada this past week for one night. After a 1.5 hours ride from Buenos Aire we stepped into the posada, and an instant sense of peace came over us, looking at the beautiful gardens and hearing the birds singing made us feel we were in heaven. We stayed in a beautiful green room...

Right, so first off, if you stay here make you print out a confirmation or have some one who speaks Spanish call ahead of time. I booked this room 5 months earlier and a hilarious game of charades ensued when I showed up and the lady who ran the place just stared at me until I was able to find...

We only staid for one night, but enjoyed it very much. Beautiful and charming rooms, garden and breakfast room, and very lovely and friendly staff - an ideal basis to explore the lovely town San Antonio de Areco. Hope to be back soon!

I very much liked the week end we spent in San Antonio de Areco. We did not have much expectation for the place since the pictures of the web site are not good at all; having said that, we were very pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the house, its garden and its quietness, plus a GREAT location in the...

In this posada they have retained a good portion of the old style, to the extent it almost feels antique. They have done a wonderful job giving the place an ambience you don't find a typical hotel. Rooms are very spacious and high-ceilinged - and the breakfast room with its huge windows looking out into the massive a garden is...

We had a very pleasant night in this antique-looking hotel (some parts were renovated but the furniture was definitely antique). The rooms are so pretty and spacious and the huge garden is a paradise. Staff is very helpful as well. I find it a little overpriced, breakfast was really disappointing - slices of toast packed in plastic:(

In the Argentine summer heat the town closes down, and the Posada de la Plaza moves to a skeleton crew (I assume owning family is away). So we had the feeling of caretakers rather than pro-active welcomers. And most nights (we had several) there was but one or two other occupied rooms. My spouse says this is a plus, but...
