We were two nights in a cabin. It was a great experience - beautiful lake views and clean cabin - in windy and sunny days. We didn’t eat at restaurant. Just the breakfast at the cabin was a little short. I understand that in the hotel (rooms) is better.
Despite being amongst the more expensive accommodation options in Villa Pehuenia, it was worth every cent. Located along the water, the rooms are downstairs facing the lake with their own private decks and stairs down to the shore if you dare to take a dip in the cold water. Comfortable rooms (especially the beds!) and bath tubs looking out to the lake. Excellent breakfast included, and you can also eat dinner in the restaurant as well as order sandwiches for lunch on your deck (they were very accommodating and also whipped up a delicious salad). All-in-all, the food was excellent and good value, and they served quality local wines. The staff were genuinely very nice, and created a relaxed atmosphere. A great place to stay in Villa Pehuenia.
A fantastic get away from it all hotel with incredible views, but although out of the way very civilised. Top class food, great wine, artisan beer. Great value too. We were unable to withdraw money from any cash machine, but the hotel lent us the money until our checkout. It is a superb place, with superb people and I would recommend it to any person wishing to visit Patagonia. All together fantastic
We did not stay at this hotel, but reserved a table for a dinner one night (dining is accepted only by previous reservation, normally for 8.30 p.m.). The chef is the well reknown Matìas Tesorieri (also owner of the nice Winebar Borravino). The dining room is beautifully furnished, we got a table with a wonderful lake view with still sufficient light to enjoy. Service is excellent, they bring you a small tasting of a light dish, the menu is not big, but with a variety of refined and well garnished plates. Desserts are also very good, at last we got a farewell cup of sparkling wine, courtesy of the house. Prices are not cheap, but considering the food quality and the ambient, they are more than reasonable. A very recommendable experience.
We stayed here for two nights during a month-long visit to Argentina in November/December of 2014. It's a very pleasant hotel with a beautiful lakeside location and helpful staffers, and it offers an excellent breakfast. We stayed in one of the cabanas--our room was huge, quiet and clean.
