We stayed for 6 nights. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Juan even helped us carry our kayak down to the lake. We met some lovely guests. The room was huge. We enjoyed watching movies hooking up our computer to the TV. This is a family environment and they go out of their way to make you welcome. Clean, comfortable. Just a few small details: Wish they served fresh, rather than canned, fruit at breakfast (but fresh produce seems hard to come by in Villa Pehuenia). Our room was 105 and had a very tree-filtered lake view. 107 looked better and perhaps some other rooms as well. We left a day early because we needed to do Skype appointments and the WIFI in Villa Pehuenia is not good.
We booked a Family suite room expecting 2 separate bedrooms and some sort of general living area which was not the case (take note Booking.com), however the management quickly put us at ease and gave us 2 x 1 room suites for the 4 adults and an infant which was our touring party for the same price we paid. The Hotel staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean and tidy, a small fridge would have been nice though ( the owners says the hotel is still a "work in progress" and these will be provided in 2016). We felt very comfortable staying here and the views from the room of Lake Alumine were fantastic. I would stay here again and recommend it. Wifi was available in rooms but was slow.
We stayed at this hotel for a week and were perfecly satisfied. Management is in hands of the owners: Julián is ever present, his daughter, Laura replaces him in the afternoon and is in charge of the accounting, his wife, Sylvia, directs behind stage, the housekeeping and prepares two excellent daily cakes for the breakfast buffet. Rooms and bathrooms (with bathtub included) are big, comfortable and well equipped, all with a beautiful view on Aluminé lake. The breakfast buffet is well served and permanently replaced. The only complaint is the orange juice, an artificial liquid, with little resemblance to any fruit, but on the other hand there is always a good fruit salad. There are not many public areas inside to sit down and read, but comfortable chairs are available on the outside terraces on several levels, if weather permits. There is a free coffe-tea-water table available the whole day for the guests. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a restaurant yet, which means that you have to go out for dinner, which is good if you want to try local restaurants, but not so much if you arrive back tired after a long excursion. Still, they have an enlargement of the hotel planned, including a restaurant for next summer.…
We has hired accommodation in Villa la Angostura for our summer holidays. We decided to spend three days in Villa Pehuenia - we had never been there before. My daughter booked the room in the net. It was a super pleasant surprise! The views were awesome! You don´t need to leave the hotel if you just want to rest. Comfortable lobby, tea/coffee service all day long in the breakfast room, where you can enjoy the view...almostr touching the trees and the lake. Outdoor gallery with comfortable chairs to enjoy the view from outside. Pleasant soft music that you didn´t even notice but which added to the peace of the place. The rooms? Very comfortable beds, excellent service, magnificent views ...what else?
We arrived late in the afternoon at Villa Pehuenia and we were having difficulty in finding accommodation due to peak summer holidays in Argentina. A helpful local recommended Hotel Peninsula de los Coihues. First impressions were excellent, the owner was charming and very helpful, then we saw a room. The view of the lake from our room was simply fabulous, large windows displayed an amazing panoramic view of the lake and mountains opposite. The view alone made us check in immediately. After just one day, nice breakfast, helpful owner we decided to extend our stay to four days. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, quiet and peaceful, we were pleased with our choice of Hotel. We could have stayed for a lot longer, in fact it was very difficult to move on as we really did not want to leave. This hotel is great value and simply has the best location and view. I would highly recommend staying here but be warned as leaving this peaceful, charming and wonderful hotel is the hardest part of any stay. John and Maria from Egypt.…
